I don't know how you flash the kiss, but I would guess it is the same as any other fc. Personally, I would not buy a kiss fc to flash it with betaflight, as you can get cheaper and probably better FCs that can run betaflight. IMO it's like bying a macintosh to run Windows or Linux on it (without going any deeper into what is best, macintosh or Microsoft ). I would really like to try kiss fc, and a friend of mine has an alien with kiss setup, which I hope to try one day. He also got hq props on lumenier 2206 2300kv and from just looking at him doing punchouts, I find it strange that I don't like them. It could be that my tune is all wrong for them since my quad was tuned for a different prop. It could also be that his motor is better suited for that prop, I don't know. • Posts: 67 Threads: 6 Likes Received: 0 in 0 posts Likes Given: 11 Joined: Aug 2016 Reputation: 0 I'm thinking of changing my setup to the Impulse Alien RR5 and going to put in a KISS FC, Lumenier 2206 2350kv motors and KISS 24a esc's. I like the Alien frame better coz its neat, easy to build and sturdy. I have read some problems on the internet about the QAV210, not sure if I want to use it. If anyone else is using an alien frame, I would like to know if you are having any problems. Thankyou for the help. • Posts: 88 Threads: 14 Likes Received: 45 in 21 posts Likes Given: 7 Joined: Jul 2016 Reputation: 3 24-Aug-2016, 01:20 PM (This post was last modified: 24-Aug-2016, 01:27 PM by Sigloss.) What did you read about problems on the QAV210, I've certainly never had any issues in the >12 months I've been using them. I had my first good crash yesterday with the Alien, it didn't survive well: http://intofpv.com/t-alien-killed-in-the...49#pid8049 I've uploaded a couple of pictures, the Alien of course is pending spares but I had a similar crash with the QAV210 yesterday and it did much better EDIT: Oh and spares, not sure where you're from but I can get QAV spares at numerous places in the UK, Alien spares I have to pay shipping and wait ages from Australia. Since its my first build, im going to go with the alien. I feel like it is neater and easier to build. Im in Australia, so I should have some places with lots of spares. • Posts: 88 Threads: 14 Likes Received: 45 in 21 posts Likes Given: 7 Joined: Jul 2016 Reputation: 3 Should of said then it's almost compulsory to fly your national frame assume you'll be flying Mode 1 too :p QAV210 - LUX FC - LB 20A ESC - Cobra 2205 2300 QAV210 - LUX FC - DYS XS20A ESC - DYS SE2205 2300 Alien 5" - KISS FC - KISS 24A ESC - Lumenier 2206 2350 • Posts: 918 Threads: 83 Likes Received: 533 in 271 posts Likes Given: 498 Joined: Jan 2016 Reputation: 30 (26-Aug-2016, 01:04 PM)Sigloss Wrote: Should of said then it's almost compulsory to fly your national frame assume you'll be flying Mode 1 too :p I am Australian and have never flown Mode 1, nor do any of my flying buddies, I always thought Australia was a Mode 2 country. • Posts: 67 Threads: 6 Likes Received: 0 in 0 posts Likes Given: 11 Joined: Aug 2016 Reputation: 0 (26-Aug-2016, 01:10 PM)BigglesFPV Wrote: I am Australian and have never flown Mode 1, nor do any of my flying buddies, I always thought Australia was a Mode 2 country. You can always add it later but it's a little easier to do it as part of the build. You should certainly complete the build knowing how you're going to connect it, where it will be powered from, mounted, etc. The video cable between VTX and camera is a good example in that, if you add the OSD later, you'll have to first create a direct connection and later add the OSD inline. (possibly a serial connection as well - TX/RX) probably a good idea to check you can get 5V somewhere for that, and if you have a spare serial port. • Posts: 67 Threads: 6 Likes Received: 0 in 0 posts Likes Given: 11 Joined: Aug 2016 Reputation: 0 14-Sep-2016, 07:31 AM (This post was last modified: 15-Sep-2016, 02:39 AM by Savage FPV.) I'm kind of rethinking about starting so expensive, I have started looking at the Vortex 250. They are much more cheaper then the one I was going to get. I just want your guys opinion if I should start with something cheaper. It doesn't have to be the vortex, could be something else. Thanks EDIT: I am now deciding between TBS Vendetta or the Vortex 250 UmmaGawd Edition. Which one would you guys pick? • |
