Basically all the antenna connectors are the Male All VTX connectors are female so if you have a VTX with no centre pin in it is is a female SMA connector, and requires a Male SMA Antenna which does have the centre pin if it has a pin in the centre it is a Female RPSMA and requires a male RPSMA connector which does Not have a pin in the centre 19-Aug-2016, 12:46 PM Ok Great, Thankyou. Is there anything else I should consider before I decide on buying it? 19-Aug-2016, 01:01 PM (19-Aug-2016, 12:46 PM)Savage FPV Wrote: Ok Great, Thankyou. Is there anything else I should consider before I decide on buying it? Looks like you are set. Double check everything yourself as well. and then go spend some cash. I notice you are thinking of buying from Getfpv, A lot of Aussie shops have the gear you want as a well, except for the VTX. (and you will get it much much quicker. 19-Aug-2016, 01:14 PM (This post was last modified: 19-Aug-2016, 01:17 PM by Savage FPV.) That's gonna be my only problem, finding it all in Australia. In turn you will get to help others as well. A lot of great Aussie stores to check out if they have what you want. have a look through the Aussie list here, http://intofpv.com/t-reliable-rc-parts-s...d=74#pid74 19-Aug-2016, 02:59 PM Which RX comes with your radio? I have heard stuff about Telemetry and Failsafe, What do those do? For the esc's is says it has no BEC, is that needed? Thankyou, Sorry I'm asking so many questions 20-Aug-2016, 01:29 AM (20-Aug-2016, 01:22 AM)Savage FPV Wrote: I have heard stuff about Telemetry and Failsafe, What do those do? Failsafe is very very important, in Cleanflight or Betaflight you can set failsafe..I recommend you set failsafe to shutdown the motors as soon as it loses siganl to the radio, that way the quad will just fall out of the sky, which is far better than you quad just flying off on its current course until it crashes somewhere. I can't answer the telemetry question in detail as I have never bothered with it myself. My basic OSD tells me all I want to know..but that is just me. Almost all modern ESC's are OPTO, which means they do not have a BEC, pretty much all good PDBs have a built in bec (or 2). and you really only need one anyway for the FC. Just check your PDB has one, pretty sure it does. And you are fine on all the questions. 20-Aug-2016, 01:32 AM (20-Aug-2016, 01:29 AM)BigglesFPV Wrote: Failsafe is very very important, in Cleanflight or Betaflight you can set failsafe..I recommend you set failsafe to shutdown the motors as soon as it loses siganl to the radio, that way the quad will just fall out of the sky, which is far better than you quad just flying off on its current course until it crashes somewhere. So do I just need to download failsafe from cleanflight when the drone is plugged in? |
