For me... I am OK with seeing my props in my goggles but it's a total irritation for them to show in my youtube videos... I undetstand that some people might not have as much of an issue with it but for me I really don't like my props being in frame. This might actually be something I'd either need to solve for, or I might not be interested in this camera after all! I am going to have to have a serious thought about it. I've thought about this too. Nice thing about the design though, is that you can mount it in any position you want (like higher). That will take some work on existing frames to provide protection for the cam unit - but I suspect that this thing will become so popular that people will start designing frames around it! (I'm considering it for a pod design.) The only problem is right now I really want to put it in a Pirat Sloop in my next build... :\ I might have to forgo the split for that build just because of this issue. carl.vegas

Funny, I was just thinking with the new 07xx brushless motors available, how long till someone makes a lightweight micro brushless gimbal for a micro HD camera! Not sure those little motors have the space for the amount of winds/poles needed for a smooth gimbal though? Edit to add : RunCam also got back to me with regards to the possibility of purchasing board and cam separately and they said no. Unfortunately for me, I think I am out on this product... the in view elements are a deal breaker for me... I'll have to stick with the extra weight and awkward mounts at least for my next build. carl.vegas
