1 Hey guys. Like most of us, after upgrading and breaking things I've ended up with enough spare parts to build another quad lol. I am looking for a build to make use of spare 20a esc, 2204 motors and 1300mah 3s.
Specifically I have a few 1300mah 3s just sitting around. I'd like to get some use out of them. Can anyone recommend a build thet would be good for this? Motor and prop size? I'm thinking 3in but not sure. I know I probably can't use the 2204 on 3in,so I'm willing to go to an appropriate motor. 4in would be good, but is 4in really worth the time when I fly 5in? I have tiny whoops, a doinker and swirlie to get my micro/indoor fix. But I want to make use of these perfectly good 3s!
Thanks in advance.

1 I'll consider that, I'm not in to racing myself. Mostly just acro stuff and flying interesting places. But, this is definitely an option to consider.

74 The RacerStar 1407 3500KV on Banggood might give you what you want. Spec data (who believes that stuff?) show 330gr thrust with 5030 prop on 3S and 9amps (270gr with 4045). Brother Tornado (also on Banggood) has a 1407 3600KV, but no thrust data and a bit pricy (They'll also take 4S though). Just realize the bolt pattern on these is 12mm diameter with M2 bolts.
You might also check out the BeeRotor ZoeFPV 1407/4100 and 1806/2900 at rctimer.com. (The 1806 might fit your current frames and give you plenty of poop on 3S. (Not cheap though - but I'm looking at the 1407 for one of my current builds.)

1 I'm thinking 1407 is what I'm going to do. I'm looking to build a 3in or 4in this time around.

2 I'd say 1300 3s is definitely too big for a 3".
I have a Rasvelg 3" and normally run 850 3s on. If I use a 1000mah 3s I actually get shorter flights due to the extra weight. I'm betting 1300 3s would fly really poorly.

72 I'm building an Armattan Armadillo at the moment and I'm hoping that it will be good for my stock of 3S 1300mA/h batteries from when I started.
To get the extra performance, I'm using 2600kv motors. If you've got higher kv, it's very similar to putting a higher voltage into lower kv motors.
We'll see how it goes!
