Not detecting COM either. No red LGBT even with my older cable, could the LED be blown? Take a step back. One thing at a time. If you remove any wires you may have soldered to the BOOT pins and just plug the board into your computer, what happens? Ah. So it was a bad USB cable all along then. Take things slowly here. Understand what you are doing and why you are doing it before you take action. Being methodical and careful pays huge dividends in this hobby. Good to see you are on the way! To calibrate your accelerometer, the flight controller must be level and absolutely still during calibration. You can tell I'm just an excited 17 year old, surely?! ??? I can, but it doesn't relieve you from needing to understand what you are doing. A quadcopter is a very dangerous thing once you fit propellers and a flight battery and the spinning propellers have the ability to seriously injure both you and other people who are nearby. Being methodical and understanding things properly will help to save you from what could be horrifying injuries if the quad was to suddenly jump at your face. I'm being totally serious here, the risks are very real. As to the accelerometer, it should be enabled. To see why not, go to the CLI in the configurator and type 'get acc'. This should show you what the CLI variable acc_hardware is set to. It should be set to 0 (zero) which means 'auto detect'. • Posts: 2,286 Threads: 38 Likes Received: 1,527 in 995 posts Likes Given: 1,881 Joined: Apr 2016 Reputation: 72 Anyway, it's time for me to cook some food now, but I'll check back later on. As mentioned, I had this all fine before, with the correct sound as I've seen on videos. Not now though . Could the receiver have blown? • Posts: 45 Threads: 1 Likes Received: 8 in 6 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Jul 2017 Reputation: 0 (19-Aug-2017, 07:36 PM)Adamski321 Wrote: Very strange noise.
