R9M on a jumper TX controller

Was wondering if anyone could help. I will have a Arris Jumper T12 with the 4 in 1 module wanting to use the R9MM receiver will I still need to get the R9M module that plugs into the back of the controller.
Thanks

If you want to use one of the R9M receivers then yes, you will need to get an R9M module. The 4-in-1 module that comes with the Jumper T12 only supports the 2.4GHz frequency protocols and not the 900MHz frequency that the R9M receivers use.

Thank you I wasn't even thinking about the difference in frequency.

The Jumper uses Deviation firmware. Developers are working on it, but at this point there is no support for the R9 module.
Dude, where's my quad?

I'm having serious troubles with the T12 + R9M configuration since it does not allow me to enter binding mode.
I've made a post yesterday and also uploaded a video for Banggood.
Any idea about possible solutions?

Bragee, you abandoned your other post. You never answered whether binding with button worked or not.

I recommend that you try updating the Jumper firmware to 2.2.3.

voodoo614,
I just replied on the other thread...
My radio is already equipped with firmware v2.2.3 but I've seen there is also a R9FLEX firmware which I really don't know very much about.
In particular, I don't know whether flashing this firmware would force me to flash the R9M and receivers (R9MM) with FLEX firmware as well.

Thanks for your feedback, I didn't disregard your advice but only waiting for something clear to report in the forum.
Cheers  Thumbs Up

There is also firmware for the R9M module and firmware for your receiver R9MM. If you use flex for module, you want to use flex for receiver.

But the question is: if I do flash the radio with 2.2.3 flexR9 firmware, can I keep using FCC on both R9M module and R9MM receiver?

Are you asking whether you can use FCC frequencies? If so, yes.

Even without flashing the R9M and the receiver with flex firmware? That's what I've meant to say...

I believe you have to flash both with Flex.

Ok, I guess the problem has been somehow fixed with following configuration:
  • T12 flashed with FLEXR9 firmware
  • R9M module flashed with the standard FCC firmware
  • R9MM receiver fhashed with SBUS FCC firmware
I've made a short (due to strong wind) flight test yesterday and easily reached almost 700m with residual 60dBi at 100mW that seems legit...

Thanks for helping voodoo614.
Cheers

You have to just download the JumperTx Flex firmware.
