Jumper JP4IN1 for FrSky D8,D16 and DSM2??
#1
What FrSky receivers does multi protocol from jumper bind too?
Just D8,D16,LR12 or can it bind with everything FrSky has released except Access?

One more question about antenna, can the same antenna be used with every 2.4 radio?
I ask because that’s where I’m not convinced multi protocol one antenna can be tuned to work with everything it binds too for max range??

Jumper multi protocol should bind to pre-2.x.x ASSCT (D8 and D16), and LR12. I am not sure about ASSCT 2.x.x on the Jumper. But the Radiomaster do bind to ASSCT 2.X.X.

As for ACCESS, that code has not been broken yet. So you need a real Frsky ACCESS radio.

The new Jumper TX18 that has the 5in1 module will also bind to Frsky R9.

As long as you are using 2.4ghz, then the same antenna will work for all. You of course can get different 2.4ghz antenna that might have more db boost, but that comes at the cost of a narrower band.

Thanks makes sense.

So it can bind with any receiver a XJT module can and then some.Didnt realize until after ordering.

The JP4in1 multi-protocol module comes without any firmware installed on it, apparently for licensing reasons, so you need to install the firmware yourself. When you do that you will obviously install the latest version and that includes all of the protocols shown in the table at the link below including the new ACCST 2.x.x (FrSkyX2). The ACCESS protocol isn't supported because it's an encrypted protocol so it can't be reverse engineered.

That is interesting. I wonder how Radiomaster can ship with the firmware installed than.

I have absolutely no idea, but there is a statement to that effect in the following product listing just before the list of specifications:-

You are referring to just the External module. I think Jumper T16s all come with the internal 4in1 firmware loaded. There is no indication from US vendors that you have to load firmware.

The protocols are built into the firmware on the transmitter (OpenTX). The transmitter isn't intelligent enough to know what external module you have installed (if any), so you can still select a module protocol for a different module or where no module is installed. If you don't have a corresponding / compatible module installed then it just won't work.

Hello everyone,

I have a jumper-t lite and i am having a very hard time binding to a frsky RSXR that works with ACCST protocol, I have many firmwares loaded in my radio but none works for ACCST has anyone been able to use it?
If so how?
Should I try to load FW-RXSR-ACCST_v191128 into the radio? How can I do it? with TX Companion?

I am giving up on it and just ordered a FrSKY XM+ that I know works fine.

This is more or less how you flash.

You should flash 191128.

I have a hard time keeping up with it all. So do I need a jp4in1 to fly a frsky8 receiver? I have a t20s in shipment which is ELRS but also frsky compatible. Where D8 is an old version and it's an internal ELRS transmitter will it need or even work with the jp4in1? Or just update from my whoop to newer whoop or quad be easier?

You will need an external JP4IN1 multiprotocol module if you want to use the Jumper T20S transmitter with an FrSky D8 equipped quad. The internal ExpressLRS module on the T20S can only bind to ELRS receivers.
