Edit Reason: Additional info added. ) The iFlight CRYSTAL antenna is a modular design to replace the stock plate on the front of the DJI FPV Goggles. These are similar integrated design to the Lumenier AXII HD 5.8GHz Antenna Combo Set that have been on the market for a while. - 9dBi for more signal penetration and boosted range.
- Top and bottom mount.
- Different designs available.
These antennas are due to be released tomorrow. This looks sleek. Lumenier AXii HD set went from $49 (for a brief time ) to $69 and often out of stock after a lot of good publicity post launch. And limited retailers and high postage cost to import from US seller put a pause to my decision. I am still contemplating the Lumenier to replace my set of omni and this Iflight antenna could be a contender depending on the review/performance. One think I noted in the product pic is the integrated front plate patch antenna wires look a bit too short for the bottom RP-SMA mount. Hopefully there is extra length hidden behind the front plate patch antenna to allow some flexibility. • Posts: 77 Threads: 4 Likes Received: 28 in 23 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Aug 2016 Reputation: 2 28-Oct-2020, 02:01 PM (This post was last modified: 28-Oct-2020, 02:02 PM by oleeg.) Here are some more information and pictures about it: https://shop.iflight-rc.com/index.php?ro...ct_id=1384 As I see the pictures the antenna wires are long enough for the bottom mount. I just ordered the carbon look version. • Posts: 21,420 Threads: 597 Likes Received: 9,040 in 6,691 posts Likes Given: 1,428 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 797 They've reduced the price. They were showing over $50 earlier. I think it was either $54.95 or $59.95, so maybe it will go back up again after the initial pre-orders have gone out the door, unless the original price was a mistake. It will be nice to see a mini review from you on here if you have the time, or at least some feedback on what they're like • Posts: 21,420 Threads: 597 Likes Received: 9,040 in 6,691 posts Likes Given: 1,428 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 797 OK, my mistake. It seems that it's the patch antenna alone which is is $44.95. If you also want the 2x omni-directional antennas for the bottom of the goggles, those cost another $12 taking the total to $56.99. If you want those two omni's you need to click on the "Crystal HD Antennas (LHCP) x 2pcs" option. That certainly isn't made obvious, so anyone buying these should take note of that so you don't get a nasty surprise with only a patch antenna being delivered. When Drew did his DIY faux CF thing on his goggles, I thought it looked pretty sick. This is both form and function. The best analog adapter I always thought was that one that stuck to one of the eye patches on the goggles. Very clean looking. I don't think you can do that with this one. Do you have a preference for an analog adapter (assuming you plan to install one)? • Posts: 731 Threads: 20 Likes Received: 490 in 341 posts Likes Given: 420 Joined: Nov 2019 Reputation: 20 28-Oct-2020, 11:33 PM (This post was last modified: 29-Oct-2020, 12:51 AM by jasperfpv.) I will have to use my Truerc singularity stubbies with this IF patch. I am using 4 Omnis currently and will try to give my user impression and also compared it with a single Truerc X-Air I still have. Is this just a pilot to gauge interest or do have an actual release date? • Posts: 21,420 Threads: 597 Likes Received: 9,040 in 6,691 posts Likes Given: 1,428 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 797 No, the CRYSTAL antennas are in full production. iFlight posted the following photo a few days ago. I guess there is just so much demand for them that they're struggling to keep up with supply. • Posts: 731 Threads: 20 Likes Received: 490 in 341 posts Likes Given: 420 Joined: Nov 2019 Reputation: 20 16-Nov-2020, 09:55 AM (This post was last modified: 16-Nov-2020, 09:58 AM by jasperfpv.) I got an email from IF saying my order was shipped on 2nd November to Australia. Slow free freight option so it might take a while to arrive. I hope it will work as well as Lumenier Axii HD. • Posts: 101 Threads: 22 Likes Received: 4 in 4 posts Likes Given: 2 Joined: Oct 2020 Reputation: 0 @SnowLeopardFPV your link is dead. @jasperfpv I too am curious!
