Whoopee Micro Quad :)

I already have the Banggood 600TVL 1/4 1.8mm CMOS FPV 170 Degree Wide Angle Lens Camera paired with a FX MM213TL 5.8G 32CH 25mW Wireless Audio Video AV Transmitter Module, which I want to mount with the camera on the front of the new frame, the Tx DSST (Double Sided Sticky Taped) to the Micro Scisky 32bits Brushed Flight Control Board mounted centrally and the aerial sticking out the rear of the frame.

Can you see any issues with the above plan, as I think it should balance out OK and will probably be using hot glue to attach the camera on the front?

Cheers!

The frame is really design to mount the FX797... with your setup you might be able to fit it in the middle, on top of FC somehow... but it might be a bit messy..
you could try to fit it in the front.. but I don't know how though because you want to avoid anything from blocking the ducts

Thanks Oscar - I think that my FPV kit will fit fine!

Using BG 8.5mm motors with Ladybird props, Micro Scisky and a 1S Nano-Tech 750mAh, AUW is 56g without the FPV system which I should have time to fit in the next few days...

It's a very stable and powerful unit with great punchout (for the weight) and is pretty quiet too.

Nice quality on the printout and no issues with the build!

Will post up some pics when finished...

Appreciated!

56g is light considering you are using 750mah battery Smile
thanks for letting me know you are having a good time with this frame! I spent quite a lot of work into the design and I am glad it's working! Smile

Here's the build with the FPV kit installed - 67g AUW with the Tic Tac canopy!

I think I may have slightly warped one nacelle when heat shrinking the ends of the motors...  Dodgy

VERY NICE! Smile The camera seems to fit very well
i like how you used the heatshrink tube as zip ties as well to hold the motors in the mounts Smile

Ok so I want to build a whoop for the winter and I was wondering now much it would cost to build the whoopee vs the inductrix tiny whoop. The inductrix is $50 on amazon right now and a FPV cam and VTX is $30-$40. I have a spectrum TX so I don't need a different RX. What parts would go into building the Whoopee?

don't forget the upgrade motors, extra batteries..
I think it might be easier if you get the tiny whoop if you already own Spketrum TX Smile
for Whoopee parts check out my build logs in the first post.

Hi Oscar, just maidend the whoop in the garage. Stock setup: F3, 797t and decased Spektrum sat. What a blast! The 380mAh battery came down pretty warm. The 600mAh, although quite big, seems more capable but haven't really tried it yet (only a minute or so). Thanks for making the Whoopee craze more affordable ;-)
I was wondering where you got the 1.6mm zip ties. Can't find them on BG or Aliexpress and local sites are out of stock. I will need more for a possible second build and future repairs.

You might also try your local Dollar store (Kroner store?) I've had good luck finding thin tiny zip ties there.

Hi all, does anyone else's frame make a rattling noise??

Sorted. Made a motor brace, lot of flex in the frame so doesn't like fast Chaoli motors. 4 plastic motor mounts and 3mm carbon square rod.
