They're nice and quiet though. OH! they're fit isn't very good. Requires a bunch of dental floss to get them snug. interested on those cheersons - best I could find was still like 5.6USD / set :/ • Posts: 5,323 Threads: 674 Likes Received: 3,160 in 1,747 posts Likes Given: 2,032 Joined: Jan 2016 Reputation: 139 you won't believe it... A shame, but what can we do? I buy from you • Posts: 39 Threads: 6 Likes Received: 1 in 1 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Oct 2016 Reputation: 0 Well, i would bet, if you would search aliexpress, you will find your whoop as well. Something like that can not be avoided, on the other hand, i belive, that sharing designes throught Thingiverse pushes the 3D printing technology further. Anyway, it is shame. Did you try to contact BG? • Posts: 133 Threads: 5 Likes Received: 52 in 29 posts Likes Given: 22 Joined: Aug 2016 Reputation: 5 UNREAL!! Man that's tough. I mean ... your design is technically protected under the CC license that explicitly forbids commercialization. We obviously benefit from their lax approach towards copyright law and licenses in many cases without raising too many flags. BeeCore, MartianⅡ, the list is endless. Things like this, the BeeCore, and the new Piko BLX clone are starting to make me queasy ... The beecore is largely copied and pasted but at least it's clear that someone is actually trying to repackage the idea as some of the design is different i.e. doing the work to recreate (not copy) the product. The Piko BLX clone is a straight up copy-paste job - http://www.banggood.com/CleanFlight-Beta...mds=search I was going to post on the banggood product page, a link to your thingiverse page, Oscar ... or do you explicitly want to avoid association and connection? • Posts: 5,323 Threads: 674 Likes Received: 3,160 in 1,747 posts Likes Given: 2,032 Joined: Jan 2016 Reputation: 139 (22-Oct-2016, 05:29 PM)CesiumSalami Wrote: UNREAL!! Yes a link to the thingiverse or the blog post would be great, at least it raises people's awareness that the product is a clone. • Posts: 133 Threads: 5 Likes Received: 52 in 29 posts Likes Given: 22 Joined: Aug 2016 Reputation: 5 (22-Oct-2016, 05:35 PM)Oscar Wrote: Yes a link to the thingiverse or the blog post would be great, at least it raises people's awareness that the product is a clone. done and done: Quote:You can read more about the frame here: https://oscarliang.com/whoopee-micro-frame/ The 3D print files for this product are located here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1700311 Its license does not allow commercialization of the designs: NonCommercial — You may not use the material for commercial purposes. On one end, the links above will help you with assembly, on the other it should spread the word and give credit where credit is due: to the original creator. The creator of the frame is very active in reviewing products available here and helps provide the information to buyers that they need in order to make the decision to purchase items from this site. This is a bit like biting the hand that feeds in some ways. I know that there's a lot of material on this site that is an outright copy - just trying to give credit to the creator here. Hopefully that helps a bit :/ Lemmie know if it needs revision. I think it would be perfectly within your rights Oscar to issue a kind "cease and desist" via PM to Sandra. At the very least, you should be getting royalties for any frames they sell. It's just not right that they should be getting free advertising on your site, and then be ripping you off. • Posts: 1,504 Threads: 83 Likes Received: 944 in 654 posts Likes Given: 2,142 Joined: Sep 2016 Reputation: 24 +1 to "BangGood, Stop ripping Oscar off!" I was literally just looking for a frame for 0820 motors on BG and came across (what looked to my untrained eye, like) Oscars whoopee, I came straight over here specifically to say 'Hey, has anyone seen this... piss take... the cheek... I don't know what to say, I'm flabbergasted by their blatant... blah rant...!?' and found this discussion! • Posts: 5,323 Threads: 674 Likes Received: 3,160 in 1,747 posts Likes Given: 2,032 Joined: Jan 2016 Reputation: 139 Thanks guys, I am not going to lose money on my side like other product designers do (I don't sell that many of them). Just wish BG could have at least checked with creators first. I will have a chat with Sandra and see what they can do. LOL that's just disappointing. thanks for trying though but don't waste your time on it : I asked staff at BG see if they can at least credit me in the product description, but she said she doesn't deal with product descriptions, but she will try to contact the person in charge. I don't think it will ever happen though • Posts: 267 Threads: 26 Likes Received: 37 in 25 posts Likes Given: 68 Joined: Aug 2016 Reputation: 2 Hello Oscar.after a loose prop popped out i crashed badly. i found a horizontal crack on a duct were the conical part meets the cylindrical section.
