3 I could use a "Walksnail On Board Systems for dummies" book. But then it would probably be too complicated for me! Anywhoo, I just pre ordered an Avatar X and a Flywhoo Nano Baby 1.6 to play with. A quick glance at GetFPV and other shops shows a plethora of Walksnail brand "flight packs" but they are almost all out of stock and it's pretty confusing. No worries, I'm not in a hurry. Note: My analog fleet starts with 1s whoops, then 2s toothpicks, then 3" and 5" and a convertible 6" 4-6s. I prefer BNF for the really small stuff and built all my 3" and larger ones. I'm not picky. I'll build up to a 5" quad to fly with my new Walksnail goggles.
Maybe someone here who is familiar with these Walksnail packages can recommend one? I would like to order a new spec system for the goggles I just ordered. Then when it (finally) arrives I'll either install it in one of my existing quads or buy a frame and get to work. Maybe cannibalize one of my old quads. But I really don't want to buy the wrong product now because of a poor knowledge of the Walksnail universe.
Thanks!

1 22-Nov-2023, 09:58 PM (This post was last modified: 22-Nov-2023, 10:00 PM by lyoha.) Start with 2 inches with the 1S Lite V3 transmitter. You'll definitely like it. I'm a RC airplane pilot with a third person view. My first quad was a 6" Volador DC. The second is Mobula7. Volador on the Arducopter system. Mobula - because I just liked it all. 2 inches - because it is still small, but it can behave like a serious large device. And it's easier for him to carry a little more weight without seriously compromising flight performance. And you save some money, but get all the benefits of digital video.

41 In general, 2-3" for anything. if you have the 1S kit, then power it from a BEC, which makes cell count irrelevant. I will be going this way after Christmas and probably using the 1S kits exclusively. i will be powering mine from a BEC, so I can plug them into my current fleet.

3 Hmmm, I will have a 1s system in my Nano Baby. Are you saying you put 1S kits into even 3" and 5" quads?

3 Thanks for the replies, did my BF shopping, hopefully made reasonable choices.
I ordered an "HD Nano kit V3" and "HD Kit V2". I did not order a "lite" version because I guess I'll get one in my 1s 1.6" Nano Baby. The HD kit V2 is 8gb no Gyroflow. I didn't think I need the storage or gyroflow because I am not planning on doing videos and even if I did I think the AvatarX goggles can do it. The HD Nano Kit V3 looks more robust than the Lite versions and I can put it in my 3" 2s Toothpick or go bigger with a BEC.

3 24-Nov-2023, 09:24 PM (This post was last modified: 24-Nov-2023, 09:28 PM by husafreak.) Maybe be, I’m only interested in 4:3 so that was all I was concerned with.
I got recommendations for the lite system but it just has a whip antenna. Good enough for whoops though. I don’t know if a 75mm whoop can carry the bigger antenna.

3 After looking at a few whoop builds I decided to get a "Lite" kit as well and I'll try to do a 75mm 1s with it. Thanks for that recommendation.
