Seems they fixed a lot of little things, OSD fonts moved to SD card and what is the HD nano kit V3? https://drive.google.com/file/d/19m8eheJ...sp=sharing Quote:34.40.15 FW Big thanks to Shannon Baker、Steve Evans and other testers for their help We couldn't have done this without them ● New 'race mode' ○ 540p Default high frame rate ○ Stabilised latency, less variable ○ Analog channels available ● Camera ○ (New): Improved camera low light noise reduction (3D DNR option ) The default setting is low ○ (Fix):Change the orientation of the imu in gyroflow ● Product ○ Support and fix HD nano KIT V3 wrong voltage display ● OSD ○ (Fix): Multi-page (INAV, Betaflight) custom font support for live view ○ (New): Betaflight 4.5 dynamic coloured warning support ○ (New): Default built in Betaflight OSD font (test version .png, coloured warning support) ○ (New): Default built in Quicksilver OSD font ○ (Fix): Limit of 3 custom fonts increased to 16. ○ (Fix): Single page and multipage custom fonts available concurrently. ○ (New): OSD custom font files now reside on SD card within 'userfont' directory. ○ (New): Custom OSD positioning now centred (position persistence saved in font_update.ini) ○ (New): OSD Selection can be updated without requiring VTX to be powered on. ● DVR ○ (Fix): Custom fonts supported in DVR playback ○ (New): OSD font used for flight now used during playback (font name embedded in .osd file) ○ (Fix): DVR progressive sync issue with .osd file fixed. ○ (New): 'Rec time' setting for DVR file split duration *4GB file limit imposed It can improve the problem of splitting files into multiple disconnected files under low signal ○ (Fix): The UI stuck during playback ● Known issues ○ VTX Recording inducing OSD flickering ○ .osd out of sync when DVR recording file split. VTX consumes about 20% more POWER (not amps) when going from 3.5v to 5v, so does it mean the power consumption will go up even more at 13v? • Posts: 776 Threads: 29 Likes Received: 406 in 306 posts Likes Given: 325 Joined: Jul 2022 Reputation: 18 (25-Aug-2023, 04:51 PM)mstc Wrote: It would be interesting to see its power consumption, the 1S Lite (v2?) I do know a lot of stepdown converters lose efficiency as the input moves further away from the target output. Perhaps that's where it's all going. Nice. But I’m already wondering what USB cable it will use, or will V3 introduce yet another one … (?) Lower price point for 500mW and 32G is acceptable. Not for a toothpick or smaller though. _____________________________________ Walksnail / Avatar … It’s better than analog ! • Posts: 1,769 Threads: 61 Likes Received: 1,033 in 746 posts Likes Given: 98 Joined: Jan 2023 Reputation: 53 (25-Aug-2023, 07:41 PM)QuadFlyer68 Wrote: Not for a toothpick or smaller though. Naked V3 if you want to risk the warranty. I'm guessing a few grams lighter than a naked vista, a few bucks cheaper, and single board setup makes it easier to fit in tight spaces. You don't get the range of the vista, but at 500mw maybe it will perform well enough. Seen a few videos "talking" about the new race mode, but couldn't find any where they actually tried it. • Posts: 4,073 Threads: 75 Likes Received: 2,548 in 1,858 posts Likes Given: 3,949 Joined: May 2021 Reputation: 121 I might have to flash this firmware just so that I can use my diy lap timer without having to change anything between flying analog and digital. Having different firmware in the goggles and the quad makes lights at night have an additional angled streak in the image. This in addition to the normal glow around the light source. The 2.5" Phantom Avatar I just built has V33 while all of my other quads (including goggles) have V32. Therefore, it has the angled streak. When I downgrade the Phantom to V32 the streak will disappear. Seen this before with other version differences. I wonder what other effects are 'occurring' when the firmware(s) are out of sync ? Does the new race mode work on all of the VTXs or just the V3s? Thinking of converting my Nazgul Evoque to digital next .... _____________________________________ Walksnail / Avatar … It’s better than analog ! I've tried the new firmware. Seems to work well. Haven't tried the race mode. Here's a vid from the vtx. I found 200mW with 720p high framerate to work better than before. The most consistent setting for me flying around the house was 720p at standard framerate/bitrate. Now I can use high framerate more consistently. Yet to check out 1080p. The colour fonts are nice but I'm yet to get them to work with the OSD tool I use (prolly cause it's a old version).
