Hi guys,
I was going to post a message with my Walksnail Avatar system issue but finally solved it by myself. So I will just post my solution, in case someone else will have the same.
The symptoms: I have Walksnail + iFlight ProTek bundle and it worked perfectly (until today) so I just went out today to test it and suddenly the goggles couldn't find the transmitter. Nothing helped, I went home and tried to bind it again - didn't work. Tried to reset the goggles and bind it again - didn't work. Recently I bought another Avatar VTX so I tried to bind it to the goggles too - but again it didn't work. I made sure that I use the latest firmware. I even opened the goggles trying to find if there are some signs of something broken - but it was all ok. I wrote to Walksnail support and was ready to send the goggles to repair.
The solution: I remembered that last time I played with the goggles I updated their firmware to the latest version, sort of final step before a real flight. I told myself - maybe I need to update the VTX firmware as well? There was no mention that their versions should match, but at least I can try. So I updated VTX version and suddenly it started to work. So the problem was that I had to update BOTH goggles and transmitter to the same version number. Who knew?... So be aware.
It doesn't seem obvious to me that I have to update firmware on both the devices, otherwise they will not see each other: already bound devices will go dark, bind will not work too.
