How to configure the GPS in betaflight

The test i did is been to boot the gps using the 4s lipo at 3.85v for any cell...and now it has worked !

Before don't was working because i was using a 1s at 3.85v...i tought was enough but don't was the case...is strange because when i plug that 1s lipo at 3.85v the blue light start to blimp as show here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_conti...=emb_title

Blimp in the same way as it did when i connected the lipo 4s but for some reason on bf it is indicated only with the 4s.

The question is, with a 1s at 3.85v will not be enough to give an hot start i think right ?

i need to use at any cost the 1s at 4.30v ?

because that battery with 2.0 ph connector is a battery that i will not use with any other drone...so if i charge at 4.30v and the gps use low power that will remain at an higher voltage and i don't have the way to reduce it with the charger that is able only to charge.

Before the last flight of the Unsanctioned-1, I used a 1S (tiny 300 mAh) battery that had an initial voltage of 4.17 volts and
it worked just fine. When I plugged in the main battery, I had 13 satellites fixed.

Betaflight is running through the flight controller so it might not recognize the external battery. I think that I had my GPS
plugged into the quad's wiring harness when I connected to Betaflight since that is logical to me.

I view the two procedures to be different with Betaflight integrating with the Flight Controller and the external battery is only
use in the field to allow the GPS to acquire sat fix...and it will.

The Beitian BN-220 is listed as needing a supply input of DC 3.0V-5.5V so a 1S charged to 3.85V should be enough to work.

I'm not sure I follow what you did differently with the 4S LiPo. Did you just connect one cell of it to the GPS unit using the pins in the balance connector?
no, i have connected the 4s to xt60 connector of the drone as usually and it immediatly indicate gps on bf !

Because i have the indirect connector to give power to the gps using the 4s when it fly or the 1s external battery to sat fix.

If i connect just the 1s at 3.85v the light of gps is blu and blimp but in BF configurator there is not the indication of the gps ...

so even if the 1s at 3.85v is not able to show the symbol gps in bf configurator it should enable the gps to do the sat fix ?

Let's hope, will see... anyway i'm happy that with the 4s looks regular the situation.
