2 02-Mar-2021, 11:04 PM (This post was last modified: 02-Mar-2021, 11:08 PM by coyote_dc5.) So happy to receive my Diatone R349 today which has the Caddx Turtle v2 system installed. Everything was going so well with the setup and binding etc until I switched goggles on to adjust OSD and screen was B&W. Tried everything to correct to no avail so i decided to flash the firmware. WELL!!!! NEVER EVER DO THIS if you own a turtle v2 as it will just brick the device. I've now been on loads of forums and apparently it happens all too frequently. Hopefully someone see's this and is put off doing it no matter how bad their niggle is.
So it gets worse, I've now ordered a new board £35 from BG (hardest part is the delivery times!) so start stripping her down to get ready to fit new board and well Diantone have only gone and added hot glue all over the JST connections on the stack and DVR board so impossible to get the sockets out.
Cursing Diatone and Caddx right now and kicking myself at same time aaarargggghhhhhhh!!!

2 Its the JDM Type R so 2.0 K20a originally 220hp but now 270hp. Full engine rebuild with cosworth over sized and high comp pistons, uprated valves for 9k RPM, Toda A3 cams and all the expected supportng bolts on. She's a screamer ok :p

2 That’s awesome!! I wanted to do some SCCA racing but it would be very expensive once you build a suspension and engine mods!....
I read you have Bridgestone tires. I worked at Firestone at the time and I bought a pair of Bridgestone Potenza s03 Pole Position. Man those were the stickiest (and also most expensive) tires I’ve ever owned. They also only lasted me about 20,000 miles.
That car seems awesome man! What’s your suspension build? How about brakes? Do you have some Hawk pads? Does track wear them out extremely fast?

2 She sits on Bilstein coilovers and had brembo 4 pot brakes with Ferodo DS2500 pads. Wear isnt too bad actually. Its the tyres that probably take the most punishment on track

2 Just an update for anyone who may be following or get similar issues. I ordered a new replacement board and it too just displays a black screen. I contacted caddx about it and they informed me the new V2 boards are not compatible with the older V2 camera boards. I didn't even know there was two versions of the v2! They've been kind enough to send me an updated sensor board and a fresh firmware so I'll see how this goes and update . Moral of the story is still never to flash firmware on the turtle range !
