Found the following "letter" from Caddx.us on the internet but they don't mention which chip is effected or how to identify (refering to point 5):

Quote:5. One certain batch of camera chips was produced improperly. (We have seriously rectified the production line and strictly supervised the chip's process) [sic!]

(...) For customers who are having troubles due to Reason 5th, we apologize for the inconvenience and will take 100% responsibility for it. A brand new camera will be provided as an RMA replacement. [sic!]

   

Does anybody has some informations or maybe has own expierence with the RMA at Caddx?

Have two of them, which I just tried these days: one has the infamous yellow screen of death the other board resp. main chip is overheating hard and the picture remains black. (No matter what combination of cam+board which suggests the board to be the culprit of both problems albeit both cams could have YSOD. Though that would make it even worse with 3/4 components a.k.a. 75% faulty.  )

I would suggest that you reach out to Caddx support and ask them that question direct.
