My bad. Only a 25.5x25.5 whoop style will work. It was the usual price and availability search, I purchased a: JHEMCU GHF745 HD AIO F7 OSD Flight Controller and Built-In 40A BLHeli32 3-6S 4IN1 ESC. I have seen the JHEMCU brand used in a lot of quads here on the forum but I do not see any reviews of this board. Hopefully I didn't buy a flawed product, to me it looks like a reasonably priced AIO with no shortcomings. I'll make it work but any comments? Pretty fun actually. My oldest went off to college and we use to game together especially when he was younger. So I am a natural thumber with the Boxer gimbals just like I would with a PlayStation or Xbox joystick. The gimbals are a bit unforgiving as they have sticky prongs on the end so I noticed my thumbs are getting marks on them, LOL. Maybe I just need to man up. But I saw an article about people pinching the gimbals which just doesn’t seem natural. Then I came across another person that uses a hybrid method with thumbs on the gimbal controlled mainly by the thumb and the index finger on the sides for additional control. I am still on beginner level and been using only Acro mode which is all I plan to use on the 3” toothpick I built. I was frankly horrible at first but now can follow a line and pop balloons and enter through gates with ease on a course that changes altitudes. I am still pretty bad on slalom courses especially where the gates are angled and you have to throttle pitch and roll real fast. I tend to overshoot the target but getting better with practice. Back to my main question is what do others prefer when flying. Trying to build muscle memory so now is the best time to make a change. Thanks as always. The site has been a huge help. | | | BF Configurator 10.9.0 | Posted by: Acro Lung - 04-May-2024, 02:28 PM - Forum: Beginner Questions - Replies (6) | | Please Help! New to fpv hobby.... Downloaded betaflight configurator 10.9.0 a year ago, been working with no problems. I own 4 bnf's with no firmware newer than 4.4.2 on any of the drones. Yesterday out of the blue when I plug in any of my drones into BF, a pop up notice appears stateing - You are using an outdated version of BF configurator. Using a newer version of the firmware, with an outdated version of configurator means that changing some settings will result in corrupted firmware configuration and a non working craft. furthermore some features of the firmware will only be configurable in CLI. Betaflight configurator 10.10 is available for download online. I was under the belief that you only need to update to BF 10.10 if you were running a drone with 4.5 firmware? I can still x out the pop up and config seems to be working fine other than that. Any idea's of what to do? | | | problems with the throttle stick | Posted by: drohnen-66 - 04-May-2024, 02:07 PM - Forum: Beginner Questions - Replies (1) | | hi guys, I have built a 7 inch drone for the first time. Everything works except for the motors/throttle stick. When I run the motors through Betaflight, they run smoothly and quietly. However, when I arm the drone via the remote control, they run unevenly and stutter. And if I then accelerate just a little, the motors (without propellers) turn to full throttle and at the same time the throttle stick fails completely. I can then only stop the motors with a failsafe (switch off the RC) or, of course, pull the battery. But if this happens with propellers... Can anyone tell me how I can fix this?
