Soldering a vtx in the picture I have green and white left. Do I solder the white to tx 6 And use smartaudio or config it in crossfire am abit confused? Can I cut the green off, someone needs to help with what smartaudio does?
Make sure you are viewing the forum in desktop view. If you are viewing the mobile version, scroll all the way to the bottom and click on the "Switch to Full View" link. You can switch back to the Mobile Version again if you need to after posting the images.
You sure that's wired up right? It looks like things are wired in the following configuration assuming this is a Kakute H7. FC -> VTX Vid out -> Bat Bat -> Gnd Gnd -> Vid in
Alright, that makes a large difference. Without the flight controller model listed, I had to guess. Looks extremely similar to the one I'm using.
But yeah, if you plan to use SA, you can simply remove the green wire. Just pop the white wire onto a free UART TX pad and set that as VTX (TBS SmartAudio). The green and white are used if you wire directly to a TBS RX module. Voltage range is 6-25 volts, so 2-6S, which that pad should supply.
Hope you have success! In my opinion, that's the best 5.8GHz analog VTX, and the best proprietary control link. Should serve you very well!
Do let me know if you have troubles getting the VTX unlocked for full power. That info is strangely uncommon, despite being a requirement to get the most out of the device.
