The rest looks ok, but if you buy it, you want a video of it flying/hovering, shot on a phone by someone, not goggles dvr. Most quads with expensive parts don't sell for that sort of price unless something is wrong with them. Unless of course this is friend of yours doing a mates rates type deal.
So if you bought it and it flew perfectly, then at the minimum you might need/want to swap the FrSky Rx for ELRS, which is pretty cheap. That's all i can really see that would need swapping out, unless you already fly on FrSky and know the limitations. If you don't have digital kit, then at the basics you need to find a second hand set of DJI goggles or if you want new, maybe buy a set of Integra. Price could be 300 to 600 euros and maybe more. Or buy analog, in which case you need a 15 euro vtx and a set of Eachine EV800D goggles for about 100 euros. Try Not, Do or Do Not

Yes I allready have a pair of Dji Goggles V2 and a controller. I would need to swap to CRSF but that shouldnt be a problem. I dont know the guys who sells this drone so requesting a video might be a great idea to make sure. For example over here you could have the brand new Speedybee 60A 4in1 for £35 or spend a bit more and get something with probably better quality, but then as ever even things of quality are not always reliable. A long as the thing flies, the motors and video are ok, the FC and 4in1 work for the most part and you have a video of the quad hovering you are probably good. I can only speak from general experience, beyond that. My own experience is in micros. But like most people in this hobby i watch a lot of stuff and read a lot of info, plus have a few boxes of parts for the 4-5 builds I will one day complete.  Try Not, Do or Do Not

A lot of the information about the Holybro Tekko32 F3 ESC boards on Oscar's blog was taken from the forum thread linked to below and made into a really nice easy-to-read article. Unfortunately I wasn't sensible enough to take copies of the images of the ESCs from the Holybro website so those images at the bottom of the post are now just broken links. However, the key thing to look out for is the presence of a daughter board on the main board of the ESC which is a separate raised board that contains all of the control electronics so they are separated and shielded from the high current running through the traces on main ESC board. Why is it being sold? Is there something wrong with it? If you are just getting the quad, then what other gear is he selling or not? Why? When contemplating used gear, you never really know what you are actually getting. For instance, suppose you do buy this and when it arrives, it is not what was pictured. Hmm. Now what? Or you discover that some of the things don't work. Hmm. Again? You will just have to live with it as you likely will not get your money back. I know, people are always honest. Right? How does the price compare to a brand new BNF quad that has all new parts and perhaps a warranty or guarantee. As for the value, I would add up the cost of each component except the frame and the R9 receiver then divide that in half (50 percent). I would not include the frame nor the receiver since those have no value to you as you will be using a new frame and receiver anyway. I wouldn't buy used gear that I don't need. So, 50% of the usable gear would be the absolute TOP dollar that I would pay. Later, iFly  • |
