urgent help needed calibrating emax 20a esc
#1
Guys,

I´m completing a build for a customer using this particular ESC: http://www.radioc.co.uk/v/vspfiles/photos/4022-2.jpg

The problem is that I´m unable to calibrate them
I don´t think they are damaged as the problem happens with all of them

I tried the standard all at once using cleanflight motor tab at full throttle, connect battery wait for programming to finish and reduce throttle, but then I get a different sequence of short and fast beeps, 3 beeps with different frequencies.
then I move throttle to zero and nothing happens.

I tried also to do this by PWM receiver calibration, then the calibration beep sequence works but when I reduce throttle to zero, then nothing happens.

Any clue ?

Not sure I understand you correctly, but to calibrate in cleanflight, you enable motors and move the master slider to maximum. Then plug in the battery (get initialization tone), then move the master slider to zero (that should play another musical series). There is not a "reduce throttle" step in between. Its full throttle, plug in, zero throttle. That's it.

Hi sloscotty,

By reducing throttle I mean zero. is exactly the same procedure I do on all my quads/escs, so I don´t think is wrong procedure.

Any idea on any other calibration method ?

sounds like you haven't enabled "Programming by TX" in BLHeli_Suite.

Hi Oscar,

I think these ESCs are not really BLHELI despite the stamp says they are.
I have blheli configurator (web) it works fine on another blheli ESC I have but for these ones, when I read setup, nothing comes up ... any idea ?

please update interface to a supported  revision (107)

sorry no idea Sad
old ESC's are old ESC's, the time you spend on troubleshooting them is not worth the hourly wage Smile might just get some new ones Smile
anyway are they having problem flying? maybe they are fine without calibrating Smile
