SpeedyBee F7/ESC Cap Question..
#1
Recently picked up a SBf7 / 50A ESC..
A Buddy of mine just did as well..

In my Beautiful Box along with my "SkyNet" FC & ESC, I have a 1000uf / 35V Cap....

In my Buddies, There was a 1000uf / 50V Cap..

I just noticed that as I was prepping to make everything permanent..

I would like to run a 6S set-up, and believe I can.
But my 50A ESC came with a 35V Cap...

Any Thoughts or am I just being too picky...

Thanks

While a fully charged 6S LiPo is 25.2V, a voltage spike can occur when you first plug the LiPo into a quad. A 50V capacitor has a bigger overhead that will deal with any voltage spikes over 35V but the 50V caps are quite a bit larger than the 35V equivalent so it can pose a challenge finding somewhere for it to go inside the frame. Most people just run 35V capacitors on their 6S quads (myself included) and never experience any issues doing that. So I would just stick with the 35V capacitor. If your friend ends up struggling to get the 50V capacitor somewhere in their frame then just tell him/her to use a 35V capacitor instead.

Evening Brother....

So ......
Quick Question...

I just ordered another SB F7V3/50A Stack - And this Flipping thing came with a 35V / 1500uf Cap..... ( WTF Brah )

Im so Aggravated & Puzzled as to why the 1st one I purchased came with a 35V / 1000uf Cap - And the 2nd one I just bought came with a 35V / 1500uf Cap....

Now Im Like....WTF

And given what you just told me makes absolutley Perfect Sense, But WHY in the F@^$ would the same product come with 2 different Caps...

Any Thoughts pertaining to this??????

Thanks Again Bro

FPV electronic parts manufacturers will be buying capacitors in bulk and they probably just buy what they can get hold of at the time. So what you can never guarantee what you might end up with.

Unless it's a known good brand of capacitor then I would just discard it and source your own from a reputable capacitor manufacturer. Some of the recommended manufacturers are listed in the following post...
