I updated firmware to go from ELRS 2 to ELRS 3 and when I go into the ELRS 3 LUA script it often hangs on loading. I would try turning off transmitter and turning back on and occasionally the script would slowly load. Go into binding and script hangs indefinitely. Haven't had issue when on old firmware for ELRS 2.

I've searched forums, reddit, youtube. Seems other folks had similar issues or are having similar issues. 

Any suggestions on solutions? Thanks.

How long have you had edgetx 2.8? I recently saw something abt elrs3 and edge2.8 having some hang ups. I don’t know all the details but I’d aim for loading 2.7 edge and see if that fixes your issue - just my two cents.

I was on EdgeTX 2.7.1 and the elrs3 lua was hanging then. I spent the past 5 days trying to fix the issue. Last night I decided to update EdgeTX to 2.8.3 to see if that will fix the hang up by getting everything to the latest firmware. Well, that update didn't solve the problem. Sigh.

Keep searching. This happened to me, too, with a brand-new TX16s running 2.7.1. There is a setting somewhere in there that you have to set before the elrs lua script will load. I can't remember now and I don't have the Tx with me to look. Keep searching. If I found it, you can, too.

Baud rate maybe? I think jb has a video where it won’t load bc the baud was too slow for his setting

I have the baud rate set at 400k for the internal ELRS module. I even tried the max of 5.25M. I'll try the intermediate baud rates. I did see a video by JB where he mentioned some external modules have a max baud rate to not exceed.

Have you tried turning the radio on with and without the drone on? What does it do then? When you power the radio on, can you flick crsf protocol off? Can you test another rx with a diff protocol?

Latest update. I downgraded back to ELRS 2 (2.5.2) on the TX16s and things are back to working. I'll revisit this in the future when I really have to update.

I guess I ought to follow the mantra: If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Same error in my Flysky nirvana & aion 2,4G nano TX, i solve my fail, downgrading to ELRS 3 3.0.0 .

Packet rate in 333 full and lower, works correct lua script , and 500 packet rate, works once time the connection its do it at 333 or lower.

Checked after install all possibles versions
