0 Hey guys! I’m having trouble taming the throttle on the little sucker. I’ve tried scaling the throttle down in BetaFlight, haven’t tried clipping yet. It feels like I have control the first 20% of the stick but then any more throw than that and it wants to punch upwards. I’m sure I need more practice on it but I’d appreciate any advice from you guys. Shoot, I’ve only been a member for a few hours and after reading SnowLeopardFPV’s advice I know there are some real aces out there. Thanks!

20 Yeah.. that controller isn’t the greatest. Good news is WHEN you upgrade that component.. u have a price range from $30-300...with a lot of good information Ron to make a educated decision..
You can change the throttle 2 ways. One in the PID tab(bottom percentage).. or the throttle

4 Are you flying indoors? If so, that's very challenging even for the TH2 as a beginner. I've been there - the TH2 was my first quad. Maybe move outdoors where you have more room?
What radio are you using? If it is the junky one from Emax, they can jitter like crazy, making throttle control difficult. Connect the TH2 to the computer and look at the receiver tab in Betaflight. Is the throttle smooth as you move the left stick? Mine jumped all over the place. I eventually put that controller in the trash and got a better radio.

0 I concur with what Ljholland says. The Emax E6 radio is really jittery especially in the middle. I found that pushing in the throttle stick or twisting it a bit would help for a few minutes.
I’m an absolute beginner and haven’t successfully flown my TH2F yet, but in the simulator I absolutely had the same problem as you describe.

20 Ok.. posting pics here is kinda PITA.. so this is what I have.. I fly this inside in angle mode.. the “angle limit” is 25degrees, you can increase it if u want.. but I can fly it with the pitch stick all the way forward..
Betaflight 4.0.0

ROLL. 100. 120. 90. 90
Pitch. 100. 120. 90. 90
Yaw. 90. 90. 40. 80
Angle / horizon
Strength. Transition
Angle 50
Horizon 50. 75
Angle limit

Basic / ACRO rates
RC Sr. RC expo. Max vel.

*NOTE. The “.” After the numbers (PIDS /Rates) were put in by my phone .. so the placement in betaflight should remain
