Hello hello guys. A new - very much into fpv - member to intofpv here After a hole lot of time being interested in this hobby, watching youtube videos, playing fpvfreerider with my ps4 controller and so on, I´ve finally saved up and decided to invest in some fpv gear! my main reason for flying is filming with gopros as I am very much into (cinematic) filmmaking already. Mainly outdoor flying. I also want to do some freestyle and try some small indoor whoops too. First thing to get is ofcourse a controller, so that i can carry on with my simulator practising. I´ll also have to get a better fpv simulator... (recommendations?) I want a controller thats small, convenient, easy to use and portable. Im looking into the radiomaster tx12, but that one is sold out currently. I really like the gamecontroller-style transmitters (i know lots of enthusiasts doesn't). Since i have small hands (im fifteen) and will be using my drone on the move a lot, there will be a good choise i think. If you think otherwise please tell me I thinking about pre ordering the ´jumper t-lite 16ch jp4in1´ for obvious reasons. But the lack of any reviews stops me. Seems like the perfect transmitter for me and my budget though. Hope some you guys have got some input. for the rest, this is what im thinking: - Hawkeye Little Pilot VR goggles - iFlight Protek 35 or 25 Analog 3.5 Inch 4S cinewhoop - With rxsr reciever? - CNHL BLACK SERIES 1500mAh 4S 100C Lipo Battery - Better antennas (future upgrade) Comments, recommendations, cautions, upgrades? Please comment Is there better stuff to get for similar budget and application? The goggles are the only thing. They don't appear to have good light shielding. Now that doesn't sound like it would be a big thing, however, when I use my Viper goggles without the bottom light shield in place, the screen is a lot harder to see due to glare from the outside light. That may or may not be an issue for you. The Eachine EV800D goggles are very good, true diversity, and have excellent range; they don't cost that much more than the ones you listed. Thing is, not many options and even replacements might be hard to find. If you need props and can't find any 3.5's then you will be using 3 inch props. Maybe a 3 inch cinewhoop might be a better option. Just think about it Getting a small "tiny whoop" might be a better start, plus you can fly them in the house; some even come with digital FPV. I Will definetly get one some day for indoor flying! Since i have a lots of open area around my proberty, outdoor flying Will be my main approach to the hobby... I might even go for a 5” race quad (like the. nazgul 5) • Posts: 21,165 Threads: 581 Likes Received: 8,917 in 6,597 posts Likes Given: 1,425 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 786 Welcome to the forum Everyone else has covered all your questions so I have nothing further to add. Posts: 56 Threads: 25 Likes Received: 6 in 5 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Oct 2020 Reputation: 0 If you can afford it maybe look into the tango 2. Its a game controller style transmitter that is very nice and comes with crossfire, and it has more reviews than the other controller you were thinking about. Also Welcome! Welcome to the forum. Since you live on a big property and mainly interested in filming with GoPro, I think Protek 35 is not a bad choice. It is a cross between a Cinewhoop and bigger quad. You can do slow cinematic , ability to track/chase faster objects and some freestyle moves better compared to traditional 3" Cinewhoops. It's supposedly decenty tuned out of the box and should be somewhat quieter than the high pitch 3" Cinewhoop. Do spend lots of time on a good simulator. I wish I did that more when I first started in fpv. Some spare prop guards and Nazgul 3.5" will be handy too if you decide on the Protek as you will certainly crash and break parts. Just saw this today. Quite versatile. • |
