0 Hello,
I have been running the Lumenier 2206-11 2350 KV motor since I started flying a short time ago, Now that I am flying more aggressively, and losing to gravity every now and again, I am wondering if I went to a more cost friendly motor, which one would that be......?
I have found myself looking at the Emax Red Bottom RS2205 2300kv, but have also become aware of the RS2205-S 2300kv, does anyone have a recommendation between the two ?
Frame is a RR Alien 5 inch with KISS FC
Or is there another motor altogether, that is a little less expensive than the Lumenier ?
Thanks
Danny Z

0 DOP,
How do the newer Emax motors affect your batteries, any noticeable negative effects ?
I was also checking out the Armattan motors that RENOV8R was mentioning
At this point, like everyone , I have too many choices, which is not a bad thing really, would love to just try them all !!!!!

50 I run the 2300Kv's and 1300mah 75c Tattu's.
If I am really pushing them hard (on Racekraft 5051x3 props) my lipos get quite warm but not hot, and I haven't had any puff yet either.
I would suspect the 2600Kv's to really stress those packs though.
But I have been quite pleased. Very aggressive flight times of 2.5-3 minutes. 4 to almost 5 minutes if I only cruise.

15 23-Jun-2017, 09:16 PM (This post was last modified: 23-Jun-2017, 09:17 PM by Grisha0.) i fly those RS2205-S 2300kv almost a year now... cant kill them
also depending on props you use you can go for either 2300 or 2600kv
what i like:
arc magnets - more powah and faster response
what i don't like:
one of the 5 is having some issues with screwing a nut and putting prop on...but nothing that a bit of brute force can't solve.
Konrad is flying on his Tornados and he is really happy with them, look at them as well.
All the best

31 While I've had mixed feelings about my diatone ARF quad I can say that the motors on it are low-maintenance. In fact in contrast to my other quad I tend to come in too soon on batteries because I haven't used as much power as I thought I did.
http://www.diatoneusa.com/store/p241/Dia...00KV-motor they're $20 a piece, which is around what some of the other suggestions seem to be, but they're still cheaper than the Lumeniers.
They are responsive, take it easy on battery, and are pretty much never more than a few degrees above ambient temperature after a flight.

0 Thanks to everyone,
All awesome info, since I'm starting to fly .ore aggressive. The price point and the performance of the original emax red bottoms seem to be a good choice, at $15 each, that seems pretty good........
At least that is where I am leaning at the moment !!!
Stay tuned, I need to make a decision soon !!
Thank you again for all the great feed back !
