Motor direction changes not saving
#1
Hey guys. This thing is driving me insane. My motor direction is off. Motors 2 and 3 need to be reversed.

I've reversed them in Betaflight but it never saves. I used the wizard and tried individually.

Eventually I just pulled up blheli and reversed escs 2 and 3, yet, the motor direction didn't reverse. What the hell is going on?

Thank you!

Well, you could just swap two of the three wires over on each motor and be done with it, BUT are the motors marked to be directional, are there rotation direction arrows on them, or left and right hand threads to indicate direction expected?

Betaflight does not set the ESC motor direction despite the pretty picture, etc. BLHeli or BLHeli32 does, are you trying with the right one of those, they are not usually interchangable?

I once had this on one of my quads after I did some repairs, turned out two of the motors were the opposite of the others (red dot on connector, so 2x CW and 2x CCW) and they were in the wrong position. I spent hours trying to change them in Bluejay, but in the end I had to strip it back down and physically change the positions at which point it all started working again. Never could work why changing the directions in esc-configurator wouldn't work. But in the end just observing a simpler approach worked.

I also had this happen, I questioned myself “did I hit SAVE?”
Ciotti was doing motor testing and he also ran into it.. I’m wondering if it’s a BF bug, I’ve never had it happen with the esc software (BLHELI )that was strictly for the ESCs
