Lost bind with D4R-II with 4S lipo?
#1
Having a unique issue that I'm hoping my infinitely smarter companions from IntoFPV can help with. It may not even end up being that big of an issue, but while the alien is in the garage, all torn apart, it'd be nice to work the fix in now if there is one.

So, I'm a new pilot who has been flying 3s lipos for several months and feel that I'm ready for big boy pants with some 4s batteries. Order came in, threw my goggles on, 4s in, armed the quad and took off....for 6 seconds.

Found that I was not receiving any stick inputs to my d4r-ii in clean flight, so I was concerned at first that I fried something with the manlier battery. After the breakdown tonight, I found that I simply had to rebind the d4r-ii to my Taranis. No problem right? Armed and checked...good to go.
Well, on my final check, I lost the bind again...

Have you guys ever seen a receiver lose its bind to the transmitter when running a 4s battery? Never once have I lost a bind when using my 3s batteries...

The D4R-II RX will be being powered from whatever FC your using so the 4s should not make a difference to the amount of voltage it's receiving (should be 5v). I would go through your bind procedure with just a power source for the D4R and a servo (if you have one) to test it. It's possible the RX is faulty.

Pretty annoying though, you don't really want your copter un-binding whenever it takes its fancy! Hope you get it sorted, if you don't find a remedy afraid I would just suggest replacing the receiver

I couldn't see that there was much i could do to fix this but wanted to check to make sure. Will just make sure that the bind button is relatively available in the bottom of the quad.

Fresh receiver in the mail. Worst case scenario, I have a spare on hand. Thanks
