You will probably be better off with something that you can switch between 25mW and 200mW. If you are going to competition, you might want to also have Raceband frequencies.

If you just want to use it for FPV and fly by yourself or a few friends, it will be fine. Not sure if you will need the big receiver. Are you using goggles? If you just need the VTX, you can get similar ones for under $10 without the video receiver. For $28, I would go with TBS Race HV or Tramp VTX.

Do you have an FPV screen or goggles already, they usually come with a VRX (Video receiver)  already installed?

I have to say that I am not the most trusting of Aliexpress/Alibaba, generally you are much more likely to have a better customer service experience with BangGood. Eachine products are not the best quality, but they are at least a manufacturer I have of.

I found these 2 items VRX $14.99, VTX 11.99 total $25.98

Let me know what FPV screen or goggles you have, I just want to make sure that you do actually need the VRX..?

The video transmitter is too big for miniquads anyway so I wouldn't bother. Grab a eachine tx526 when they are on sale on banggood for 13usd. It is small, lightweight, powerful and works great. The only downside is that if you are flying with friends as the vtx leaks signals all over the RF range. But as I understand it this is common among the cheap Chinese VTX's.

I used the receiver when I used box-style goggles and it worked fine. Can't remember if it was any worse or better than the single antenna fatshark module. Probably about the same

I have two of the vtxes Tom BD Bad is linking to and have not had any issues with them either. I haven't flown much with others with that vtx and I can't tell if it is spamming all over.

It is actually pretty funny because it is just that one guy that has problems with me and others disturbing his video feed and he is using LaForge. Me and some other guys is using the realacc rx5808 module which is pretty much the same as the LaForge and we don't have any problems with this

It's probably more down to the antennas he's using than his LaForge receiver. A poor axial ratio, or even one with the wrong polarisation, would make him much more susceptible to interference from other pilots.

That doesn't say anything good about the selectivity of the LaForge receivers then!

It's always a compromise though. Extended range will make the receiver more susceptible to wideband interference.
