One of the reasons that I love Micros and Whoops is that they are so easy to store.
Some BNFs do come with nice little cases, what is your solution?
I have designed and FreeCad draw and 3D Printed some drone boxes, with lids so that when flying I can just throw the drones in my backpack and easily store them.
Those look really nice, are they custom prints? Reminds me of the day when fast food was severed in those foam containers (quarter pounder with cheese ). Maybe print the model name on the outside or use translucent filament on the cover for a see through window?
I have a couple of Happymodel and BetaFPV Meteor cases. I tend to store them in those. I also have some tool boxes that are full of the Flea builds. I've been wondering whether to put some hooks on the wall so I can display/store them that way.

Oh come on...... Maybe wrap the quads up in butcher paper and use grease pencil.........!!!!
I actually have issues with storing my goggles. Once the antennas are on I hate to take them off and they don't fit back in whatever case they came in. So I wound up looking for ski goggles bags on Amazon.
I suppose it depends. I throw some of them in my drawers where I keep all my quad related gear in build boxes mostly.
I use these hard cases for anything up to 2.5".
and these for 75mm whoops, although they are supposed to be for 65mm.
The upside to buying lots of broken quads is I ended up with a bunch of hard storage cases.
But I do also use toolboxes for storage and for taking them to places I fly.
But I do think hanging them will be a better idea. Those cases only work up to about 2.5". Anything bigger isn't going into any cases and things in the 5-7", not a chance.

Walmart pencil box - can hold two 65s with room for some batteries, or a 65 and a 75 whoop with some room for batteries. At a $1.99/pencil box - it's a bargain basement method of storage.

I love those cases that come with some of the BNFs -- Your tool box is nice and tidy.
