0 Before I spend hours hacking on one of my tinywhoop frames, do we have anyone here who has done this? I mean took a standard carbon frame like the one that comes with Mobeetle65 (weights 1.7g, while normal plastic frame weights 3g) and attached individual whoops from mobula6 frame? It is very similar to what fractal65 frame kit does. I'm trying to figure out how much do the actual whoops by themselves weight, but fractal65 do not even say what is their frame weight. All they say is the entire tinywhoop mass.
If anyone has done it, please let me know, how much does it weight? I'd love the added rigidity of carbon, but I don't want to have 0.5g more weight. Just looking at a typical Mobula6 frame it seems to me whoops are half of the plastic so 1.5g. Adding to 1.7g of a carbon frame the whole thing should be "only" 0.2g more than the plastic frame. If I swap the screws for peek I should keep my weight the same.
What do you think?

100 i use some mob7 v2 ducts on a carbon plate
i would suggest it, but not so much about rigidity; stiffness does improve fc s work.
you might need to order long m1.4 screws?
i had one rare set from another quad but long m1,4 are unusual

0 How much does your frame weight, do you know? I'm especially interested in the carbon part, and the ducts.
Although even total mass would be nice to know.

3 I fly the Fractal 75 and it's so good I built 3 more. I put mine through hell and rarely have a bent motor shaft issue, but if I had to guess, that happens for the same reason that turtling a Fractal sucks - because there is no canopy and the props are EVER so slightly above the ducts, so that's where the impact lies. Adding a small ziptie to the build mitigates both of those issues.
I can't give you a weight for the 65 carbon but I can weigh the 75 if you like. I think the weight difference is minimal, but the carbon frame helps in that you don't have to swap an entire frame when a duct breaks, you just replace the duct itself.

41 The only one I know that uses that sort of design is/was the Cine8. But it's obviously an 85mm, so probably not ideal for what you want. But that is a CF frame with separate TPU ducts. Probably far too big for your needs and not at all light. It's definite 3-4S territory.
