Helio Spring v2 wont read the R9MM receiver
#16
hi guys, i really appreciate your time, i am mind blown of what you came out with, such a great investigation, it is not the grey one (helio claimed to be f10), its red and they call it f7 i guess because it has 2 processors, f4 and f3 so what we want to concentrate now with its the f4 processor, i even post my issue to a helio forum and they asked me to use pegasus ui (another software - like butterflight and betaflight). I did that and tried to reflash with an appropriate fc's firmware for pegasus and now my fc is kind of ruined as it is not recognised from my computer so i decided that i had enough with helio, i have a spare matek SE F7 aio which am intending to replace helio, i will come back here and update you guys if i have any issue or to update with the whole process whether is successful or not, again i really appreciate your effort, thanks a lot guys

Of course. "F7" is the idiotic name they came up with for their F4+F3 board, like the STRIX Binary "F10" is an F7+F3. Unbelievable. Just to create marketing hype / BS. All the more reason to boycott their products IMO.

I saw the interview that JB did with the Helio RC guys and it made me suspicious of the company and their motives as a whole. If you are remotely interested, the interview is linked to at the bottom of this post.

You'll have a good time with the Matek. They're top quality FCs and their documentation is second to none.

Great news Thumbs Up

I think you probably swerved a bullet with the death of your Helio RC flight controller and Butterflight firmware. If you want to hear more then see the video I just linked to in the following post...

such a disappointment seriously, i used to like their product since last year, matek used to be not my first or second choice on my builds but the new model aio F7 is really promising and i am using it in all my builds now, thanks for your help and information.
