Helio Spring v2 wont read the R9MM receiver

*helio spring v2 F7 fc
*R9MM eu receiver
*TARANIS QX7 transmitter with R9 module

I flashed the receiver with the equivalent firmware and i made it to bind it with the transmitter just fine (green light is on), but my big problem is that the fc don't recognise the receiver, am using the pad s_port/f_port on the receiver and s_port on the fc (i even tried tx4). 

I really need some help here, i hope there is someone that can help me out, thanks in advance

I guess you are running Butterflight on that FC. Have you selected the correct receiver mode / provider and set up the ports correctly?

If you can run the "dump" command in the CLI and post the results back here it will enable us to verify what Butterflight configuration you currently have set up on that FC.

hi, thanks for your fast reply, yes am running butterflight, frsky fport is selected in configurations, i just reflashed fc firmware, let me get the dump for you

thanks, didn't fix it yet, in which pad should i solder the signal wire of the rx?(f_port/s_port)
also the imufupdater dont let me update the fc's firmware (that updater it's a helio thing, after a flashing we need to use the updater)

What firmware are you running on the R9MM? S.Port or F.Port?

OK, connect the S.Port/F.Port pad on the R9MM to the S.Port Pad on the Helio Spring. The S.Port pad on the Helio shares UART1 so you will then need to go into the ports tab and switch on RX for UART1, or alternatively just run the following command in the CLI which will do that for you...

You have definitely wired to the S.Port pad on the FC and not the SBUS pad by mistake haven't you? Just need to double check that before going any further.

It's getting late so I'm probably missing something obvious. You shouldn't need to do this on an F7 board, but try all the different permutations of the halfduplex and inverted options one at a time to see if any of them work. If not then someone with a fresh mind might come along with the solution.

Just to clarify, your FC board should be grey. If not, then you don't have a F7 FC. Then you need to link what FC you have. Helio RC confuses everyone with their stupid naming scheme.

Hmmm, yeah you're right. That's not confusing enough is it? Rolleyes

I just went by the OP's information without checking the fine details, and having now looked at the actual specs "Helio Spring V2", it uses an F4 MCU for the main processor, so that particular one is not an F7 board. Looking on the poorly designed Helio website they don't even seem to list an F7 board, however there is an F7 board with the Helio technology built into it (the grey one as you said) but it seems to be sold under the "STRIX" brand as a "Binary F10" (HERE), so the fact that their F7 equipped board is sold under a different brand and that Helio don't sell that one on their own website like they do with their other boards just adds to the confusion even more Huh

The dump provided by the OP shows a "HELIOSPRING" firmware target installed on his board so that must mean he has the Helio Spring V2 F4 board. Looking through the Butterflight releases, the STRIX Binary F10 board uses a "STRIX" firmware target.

@Andy FPV - can you please do as Voodoo asked and post a link supplier's website of the exact FC you purchased so there will be no further confusion as to what it is you actually have. Thanks.
