Thank you! I have a motto: Practice makes better, perfection is for fools!

I had around 50 hours of flight time on this plane flying line of sight before I put the FPV gear on it. I've gone through 3 sets of tires doing takeoffs and landings in the whole time I've been flying it.

In keeping with the thread's topic, these are the goggles I got, a generic model sold under many names with a 3 inch LCD display behind a Fresnel lens. It has two antennas but it doesn't have a Diversity receiver. My VTX is only 25mW but the plane only has a range of 200 meters anyways so that's not an issue for the kind of park flying I'm doing.

Again, for anyone else with poor sight who loves RC, flying FPV is much easier than flying line of sight!

TrikeTrash:

Wonderful tinkering!

I was considering doing something like this because the monitors were about half the price of the goggles I'd found and I didn't know whether the smaller screens in the box goggles would work for me.

As it turned out, I ended up getting the cheapest box goggles I could find and they worked great.
