Flywoo Micro Long Range

there are new lightweight props but otherwise its just hyped. 4inch long flighttime or longrange is pretty nothing new xD

Yeah, you might be right, but... it is not very well publicized and has not been very popular because I haven't seen much there until now {and I have looked}. Also, my perception is that the manufacturers have not been focused on light weight yet powerful motors for this category. In fact, the sub 250g category is what is drawing attention. It is NOT that you got a 4 inch rig for long range, it is more that you got a SUB 250g AUW quad that will go more than 15 minutes and do long range {regardless of prop size}. In fact, most people seem to "poo poo" the sub 250g category as insignificant; just like "toys". If you are not running 5 inch, then you aren't really in the game; much less long range {endurance}. Just look around, most FPV pilots think you gotta' be 7 inch or bigger to be long range. {{what if I build a 7 inch sub 250g that goes more than 15 minutes; has that been done? Where? Yeah, there are those on-of's running a home built 18650 pack that might manage that, but not available to the average flyer}}. That said, it might have been done, but you don't really hear about it. Also, there are now lighter weight frames and motors specific to sub 250g long range that did not exist even a year ago {the Flywoo 1404 2750kv did not exist until recently}. So, it may have been done, but not popular; now it is becoming popular. In fact, many "professional" reviewers have down played 4 inch as having no place; in favor of the larger 5 inch builds that they run.  Yeah, if I got a 3 inch that will do 15 minutes or more and do long range, how would that be ???? Maybe somebody has done it, but you sure don't see it or hear about it. The "NEW" scene is sub 250g category; how much can you get out of sub 250g AUW {including the battery}. The HobbyBrothers Hyperbola is an example {5 inch} that wasn't there a year ago.

From my perspective, the focus has been on 3 minutes of "balls-to-the-wall" adrenaline "RUSH" rather than endurance; until you get to 7 inch.

So, never mind the "one-of-a-kind" {just to see} home build experimental quads, the manufacturers have just recently become focused on the sub 250g category.  Now, the thing is...how much can you get out of sub 250g...can you buy a BNF  7 inch, 250g (or less) AUW {including battery}, that will run more than 15 minutes and do long range?? Yeah with a GPS unit as well? It might have been done, but.... Huh

So, the real deal is that you can get this {both the Flywoo explorer and the HobbyBrothers Hyperbola // neither of these quads were available a year ago// ...} in BNF for the average user {without a lot of custom, DIY stuff, and then being a "one-of"}.

mag_hardware is set to NONE anyway, so it shouldn't matter. Set it to zero and you should be good.
