When I arm the model in stab mode(airmode on ) the throttle go crazy(not from the xd9's stick command but by itself).....what is the problem? As soon as possible I will post the dump of my qwd. Thanks in advance • Posts: 21,261 Threads: 587 Likes Received: 8,966 in 6,634 posts Likes Given: 1,425 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 788 Is this with props on or props off? If it's with props off then put props on then go outside and try again. Obviously be ready to kill the arm swich in case it starts trying to fly to the moon of its own accord. With props off, the motors can behave erratically because the PID controller detects no load on tbe motors or movement of the quad, so it applies more throttle to compensate, and so on. So the motors can seem to be racing out of control. Fortunately I switched off when I sow the motors started crazy. • Posts: 12,099 Threads: 125 Likes Received: 3,739 in 2,836 posts Likes Given: 99 Joined: Feb 2017 Reputation: 388 Double check the following if your quad is flipping out. FC orientation, 3D model in BF correctly corresponding to real-life movement Motors direction Motors mapping, the correct signal to the correct motor Props mounting direction. All radio trims are centered. • Posts: 21,261 Threads: 587 Likes Received: 8,966 in 6,634 posts Likes Given: 1,425 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 788 Is this a BNF quad or did you build it yourself? If it's a BNF setup, have you messed with any settings or are you running the settings as they were configured at the factory? And have you attempted to upgrade the Betaflight firmware or is it still running the factory supplied version? • Posts: 144 Threads: 15 Likes Received: 27 in 21 posts Likes Given: 41 Joined: May 2019 Reputation: 1 23-Jun-2019, 07:00 PM (This post was last modified: 23-Jun-2019, 07:00 PM by SBLAUS.) Thanks Your quad should use betaflight. Unless you updated your BF firmware and changed a setting. If you plug your quad into BFC, it will tell you what direction each motors should spin. By default motor 1 and 4 are CW and motor 2 and 3 CCW. And yes, it is possible to change the motor direction to have props spinning outward. • Posts: 144 Threads: 15 Likes Received: 27 in 21 posts Likes Given: 41 Joined: May 2019 Reputation: 1 (23-Jun-2019, 06:56 PM)SnowLeopardFPV Wrote: Is this a BNF quad or did you build it yourself? Dear friend,I upgraded the firware to the last 3.5.x(because the 4.0.x doesn't work with the old cli). Anyway I made a backup of the cli stock...... The qwd is BNF • Posts: 21,261 Threads: 587 Likes Received: 8,966 in 6,634 posts Likes Given: 1,425 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 788 23-Jun-2019, 09:15 PM (This post was last modified: 23-Jun-2019, 09:17 PM by SnowLeopardFPV.) If the quad was supplied with Betaflight 4.x from the factory, I suggest you go back to 4.x (latest version is 4.0.3) and apply the original stock 4.x settings you took a backup of. For Betaflight 4.x you need to use Betaflight Configurator 10.5.1 which can be found HERE. It works just fine. • Posts: 12,099 Threads: 125 Likes Received: 3,739 in 2,836 posts Likes Given: 99 Joined: Feb 2017 Reputation: 388 I agree with Snow. 3.5 and 4.0 are totally different animals. The developers don't recommend just exporting the settings. If you know what you are doing, you can reuse the basic settings. • Posts: 144 Threads: 15 Likes Received: 27 in 21 posts Likes Given: 41 Joined: May 2019 Reputation: 1 (23-Jun-2019, 06:33 PM)voodoo614 Wrote: Double check the following if your quad is flipping out.
