0 I'm planning on building my first drone, but I couldn't find on ebay any goggles that use 2.4Ghz instead of 5.8, which is illegal where I live.so my question is, is it possible to buy the goggles with the screen separately, then use a separate receiver?

41 Yes you can buy a receiver/goggles/etc separately. Although i have no clue if they still make vtx in 2.4GHz variants. One for someone who knows.

Gal Kremer is Israeli, AFAIK (some signs in his videos are in Hebrew) and he flies regular quads, presumably on regular vtx. So I would make a point of researching that further.
