786 The clue is clearly written in the OP's first post. He stated that Betaflight Configurator connects to the FC just fine using his work laptop (albeit with an older version of Betaflight Configurator), but it won't connect from his personal laptop. Therefore the issue is NOT with the FC. It is clearly some kind of configuration or driver conflict issue on his personal laptop.

97 If we go with the assumption that it is something to do with your personal laptop,
then we will need to know the specifics of the computer: Year, Make, Model, Verion of
Windows, etc. and any "Special" or "Custom" software.

97 From my recent testing of Betaflight Configurator, I have had the following
experience:
Betaflight versions 10.8.0 and 10.9.0 (formal release versions) worked
fine and connected to my quads every time.
Betaflight versions of 10.10.0 RC candidates would fail to connect
to various quads from time to time. It was not consistent, sometimes
it did and sometimes it didn't.
All of these were run on the same computers ( I have two) with absolutely
NO changes in the drivers or any software on the computers. With the
10.10.0 RC versions being a bit unstable, I am now only running 10.8.0
and 10.9.0.
Given this testing, it makes logical sense that Coleon's quad would connect
to an older version of Betaflight and yet not connect or be sketchy if he is
running any of the 10.10.0 RC candidates.
