20 I was all set for this year… until I decided to take a new job… I’m guessing with covid restrictions being lifted things should be easier than last year..
If anyone makes it.. keep us posted..

11 It’s quite the pricey event…well the 800.00 tickets are gone but plenty of only 300.00 and if you just want to watch a measly 100.00 gets you in. Oh yeah you pay extra for camping lol!

41 It doesn't look like a bando. It looks more like a festival. Still $800 for a ticket is a bit steep. Even $300 for a ticket is steep.
I think it's too niche for most people, unless you fall in the 'money to burn' group. If I had that kind of money, i would rather use it to buy a drone or upgrade equipment. I'm not looking to meet youtube celebs for autographs.
Also it's a long way from where I live.
If on the other hand you are Youtube influencer or have a channel with a million subs or a pro, then it is probably for you.

14 I'm only 150 miles from there but flying with a ton of people doesn't seem that appealing. Wait an hour to fly 5 minutes?
Aside from Botgrinder I'm not sure I'd want to hang with any of the Youtube guys. Though I do appreciate most of them for their content.
$300+ to fly with a small group of people at a site like that and I'd be all over it. There are no bandos around here that aren't covered up by posted and no trespass signs.

3 I've got a couple of friends going. They have a YouTube FPV show (called Super Critical - gotta plug my friends, sorry) - but they're not going for the show - they won't even be livestreaming or anything. They're just tremendous freestylers and love these types of gatherings.

This hobby does seem to be very male orientated. I haven't seen many YT vids by female pilots, although at least their are some. I think even less (or any) would go to Rampage, unless flying as part of a team or maybe with a spouse/partner. It looks like a serious testosterone fest.

3 One friend of mine is there right now with her husband. They both love flying. But you're right, females are in the minority.

3 21-May-2022, 01:56 PM (This post was last modified: 21-May-2022, 01:59 PM by JinxFPV.) Sorry to bump, I just had to post this trick my buddy did at Rampage. He won 60 sets of props. My other buddy who went won the freestyle video competition at the Rippies there.
