Full Statistics | | | Betaflight 4.4 RC won’t spin up motors using sliders or master?? | Posted by: Rob3ddd - 23-Jan-2023, 08:54 PM - Forum: Betaflight - Replies (3) | | I have 4 different quads using the latest BF RC Jan 18th 23. I am able to use the wizard and motor direction preset, but I can’t use the master or the sliders. The quads fly okay and I’m using the latest ESC firmware, tried w and w/o bidirectional, with bladeheli s and 32. If I go back to 4.3 motor sliders work and I can save settings after checking motor direction. The wizard must be saving the motor direction after I click stop for when done everything works but I can’t get the motor sliders or the masters to work. I’d like to verify there is no errors after using bi-directional. Are the sliders working for others or am I missing something? | | | ExpressLRS 3.2.0 Firmware Now Available | Posted by: SnowLeopardFPV - 23-Jan-2023, 06:43 PM - Forum: Radio Transmitter and Receiver - Replies (7) | | EDIT (3rd April 2023): ExpressLRS v3.2.1 is now available. See another thread HERE for details. The ExpressLRS 3.2.0 firmware was published earlier today. Full details are below. For details about what was in the previous 3.1.x release, see another thread HERE. Relevant Links: Quote:ExpressLRS 3.2.0 Release Notes The important stuff- Arming must be on AUX1 for safety and feature reasons, having this fixed allows us to maintain small packet sizes and deliver better aux channel options
- Be sure to flash both the TX and RX.
- Lua script MUST be updated to elrsV3.lua and is backwards compatible with 2.x. Get it here: Lua
Compatibility This is a minor version release (new features, targets and bug-fixes only) and is compatible with V3.X. Who should update from V3.1?- Anyone using a PWM RX and set failsafe values from Lua
- Owners of the new Radiomaster hardware listed below
- Anyone using 868/915 receivers and wanting to use higher power for telemetry output
- The other fixes listed do not affect flight performance, and the features are either minor or not yet available (Gemini) due to lack of commercial hardware.
New Targets- Transmitter Modules
- Radiomaster 2.4GHz Boxer #1999
New Features- Gemini 2.4GHz #1914 ExpressLRS Gemini Tx
- Module Configuration Import/Export for backing up or cloning your TX #1943
- Configurable TX PWM fan speeds based on power output level #2011
- The telemetry power on 868/900mhz receivers can now be selected from 10mW, 25mW, or 50mW via the Lua (note, this was technically included in version 3.1.2, but was missed in the release notes) #1981
Maintenance- Update EMAX 900 OLED power settings #1986
- Fix GitHub build warnings #1948
- GitHub Actions: update deprecated PIO platform command #2023
Fixes- Fixes DIY hardware with different pin mappings and allows auto WiFi mode to be entered. (sx1280) #1990
- Fixes WiFi updating on ESP8285 based receivers due to not enough space. #2019 #2024
- Minor fix that may improve RX connection after a failsafe if the frequency has drifted. #1997
- Fix PWM output for ESP32 based receivers. Note that no ESP32 base PWM RX are currently available commercially. #1951
- Fix PWM failsafe value channel mapping #2020
- Free up some more RAM on ESP8285 based devices #2026
- Add condition to prevent config commits from the main loop while in WiFi update mode #2037
- Fix visibility of TLM status on the web UI. #2035
- Improve wifi scanning #2036
Known Issues | | | RM ER5A binding issue | Posted by: [email protected] - 22-Jan-2023, 10:39 PM - Forum: Radio Transmitter and Receiver - Replies (4) | | Finally received my Preorder Ranger Mini module and some rx's Plus an ER5A pwm rx Ordered NOV ... it came Mid Jan Using my RadioMaster tx16s multimodule TX Win10 & Firefox Got the configurator and built bin files for BOTH the Micro and the ER5A Got the latest lua a stuck in the TX in the tools dir ( It runs ) I managed to finally get my Ranger Micro to go online and updated it. It shows up in the lua script 4da3aa Then I figured out how to get the ER5a to do WIFI ( ie just wait for a FULL minute) and it too showed up in wifi and I connected it and UPDATED. NOW the ER5A will NOT enter Bind Mode ( no amount of "3 touches" works ). Feeling a bit more confident and experienced I rebuilt everything. Got a lua again , put it in the tx Updated the Ranger module again via wifi Next I tried to REupdate the RX but it said I had what it already had and offered a FORCE IT option whereby it immediately said - sorry no more room/space/whatever. and tried the rx again with NO ROOM Results SO I have NO Bind capability now THEN LATER ... The ER5A still works in wifi mode and I JUST rebuilt a bin with an older elrs version i.e. 3.0 to see if this would GET AROUND the same file complaint. AND THIS TIME it "Updated" so .... ??? Next I updated the ER5a with the 3.1.2 firmware and that was successful I can connect via wifi, I can see the options et al I can change the model #, I can see the firmware version ... BUT when I tried to do the 3 power on bind mode entry it STILL will not go to the fast double flash bind mode ! ? GO Figure , eh ? My brain is Bricked ! duhhhh Bob | | | walksnail mini 1s, is it dead? | Posted by: nobby - 22-Jan-2023, 07:02 PM - Forum: Digital FPV Systems - Replies (15) | | hi, went for a gap with the moblite7 HD, and planted full tilt into the upper edge. smashed the camera canopy into four, got a no transmitter connected message in goggles. tried power cycling, and nothing from vtx at all, no led, nothing. i pulled it apart today, there is voltage at the plug that goes into walksnail board. i have ensured camera cable is seated properly both ends. tried to connect via usb no visible damage to board or camera. all solder connections seem good. still nothing from the board at all. is there anything else to try before i have to admit i need to order another vtx? | | | Soft serial on Darwin AIO FC 1-3s 15A (no Rx) | Posted by: nmw01223 - 22-Jan-2023, 05:28 PM - Forum: Beginner Questions - Replies (11) | | I've just got one of these FCs for use on a 75mm craft. I see it has two UARTS and also pad S5 that can be allocated to - among other things - soft serial. I have never tried to use soft serial before (or any resource allocation) but as I have the (ELRS) Rx on UART1 and want to keep UART2 free for things like GPS or black box logging, and I need smart audio for a Fyujon combined ELRS Rx and VTx, this seemed to be the moment to try it for smart audio. The Darwin data says: S5: (PB3) can be resourced to soft serial for smartport (it also says RSSI: PA0, TIM5_CH1, can be resourced for soft serial or camera control resource camera_control A00) resource SERIAL_TX 11 PB3 didn't work (syntax error), but resource SERIAL_TX 11 B03 did, smart audio worked fine. The CLI warned me that B03 was already in use for motor 5, but as there isn't a motor 5, I carried on. However, unfortunately motor 3 stopped working. But, change it back as resource MOTOR 5 B03 and the motor works again, but no soft serial, of course. So, I'm stuck. How do I get soft serial onto S5 without screwing anything else up?
