0 Hey all, new here and to drones/fpv. I have a Taranis x9d+ 2019 that i've been playing around with in velocidrone, until now. I recently attempted to update the firmware via OpenTX companion and as far as i know it was successful. However, a couple days later and I'm trying to play the sim and realized the transmitter is no longer recognized as a USB controller...or recognized at all for that matter. What on earth could I have done? I've been searching around trying to find a solution but am having no luck so far. I've read into some issues with a windows driver update, but that seems to mostly have been over a year or more ago...plus it WAS working and my PC has not had any updates recently.

388 The SE model does not matter.
When you connect the USB and select joystick, can you tell me what device comes up in the device manager?

0 I'll check when I get home and look at that last link, but I was not seeing any new device show up in device manager when I connected the cable. The taranis is recognizing a cable being connected because it prompts for joystick/storage. I'll restart my pc and see if anything changes.
The only thing that has changed to my knowledge is the updated firmware. Actually, I was trying to use a longer mini USB cable I had because the one that came with it is so short. I'll check with the original cable as well and make sure that isn't causing it. Thanks for the replies!

388 If you are not getting anything to show up in the device manager, then it could be a cable issue.
