So heres the info on my setup hoping someone can point me to the right direction here X9 Lite F.W Ver 2.3.10-OTX Module Ver. 1.10/2.1.0 FCC RX FW ACCST D16 v2.1.0 FCC installed it back like 50 times if anybody can point me to the right direction i would greatly appreciate it. Im seriously considering buying another Spektrum TX • Posts: 21,401 Threads: 594 Likes Received: 9,030 in 6,684 posts Likes Given: 1,428 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 796 Have you tried flashing the ACCESS firmware to the R-XSR and binding with the ACCESS protocol instead? Alternatively try downgrading the ISRM module in your X9-Lite to the 1.1.3 firmware and the R-XSR to the latest ACCST 1.x.x firmware and see if you are then able to bind. • Posts: 188 Threads: 6 Likes Received: 53 in 46 posts Likes Given: 75 Joined: Jun 2020 Reputation: 5 Hi Welcome to the forum. Thanks Ranger, and hi snow thank you for the quick reply only tried binding with the latest firmware on both tx and rx with the access protocol. I can try to re download the old isrm firmware for the x9 lite unfortunately the R-XSR firmware doesn’t seem to work on the XSR RX says flash successful but no blinking red light to verify it’s actually writing to the board just solid green light thru the whole firmware update process • Posts: 5,939 Threads: 47 Likes Received: 2,790 in 2,252 posts Likes Given: 7,732 Joined: Jul 2019 Reputation: 97 Welcome • Posts: 21,401 Threads: 594 Likes Received: 9,030 in 6,684 posts Likes Given: 1,428 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 796 (03-Jan-2021, 05:16 PM)capt.legacy1 Wrote: I can try to re download the old isrm firmware for the x9 lite unfortunately the R-XSR firmware doesn’t seem to work on the XSR RX says flash successful but no blinking red light to verify it’s actually writing to the board just solid green light thru the whole firmware update process You may have to downgrade the firmware on the X9 Lite in order to successfully write older firmware to the R-XSR. Some people have found this issue on other transmitters but I'm not sure about the X9 Lite. Unfortunately due to the shambolic mess of different firmwares that FrSky have left us with, there is sometimes an element of trial and error while your hair gets thinner and thinner. Another option is to get an FrSky STK Tool (USB dongle) to flash the firmware to FrSky receivers with from your computer instead which would then eliminate any issues with firmware compatibility on the transmitter when trying to flash various firmwares to a receiver. • Posts: 6 Threads: 1 Likes Received: 0 in 0 posts Likes Given: 1 Joined: Jan 2021 Reputation: 0 (03-Jan-2021, 07:04 PM)SnowLeopardFPV Wrote: You may have to downgrade the firmware on the X9 Lite in order to successfully write older firmware to the R-XSR. Makes since i haven't considered that I followed you instruction on your first reply regarding downgrading to 1.1.3 successfully downgraded the TX to 1.1.3 FCC downgraded the receiver to older firmware from FrSky Website no dice on the bind. Im using a XSR Receiver i do see that its discontinued on there website i dont know if that will make it non compatible with my X9 lite. It super frustrating lol im dying to fly my cinewhoop already lol • Posts: 21,401 Threads: 594 Likes Received: 9,030 in 6,684 posts Likes Given: 1,428 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 796 OK, so you're using an XSR and not an R-XSR. That should still be compatible with your X9 Lite in D16 ACCST mode. Which firmware version exactly did you downgrade the XSR to (version number and file name)? • Posts: 6 Threads: 1 Likes Received: 0 in 0 posts Likes Given: 1 Joined: Jan 2021 Reputation: 0 (03-Jan-2021, 10:09 PM)SnowLeopardFPV Wrote: OK, so you're using an XSR and not an R-XSR. I got this from the FrSky main website just incase the file name for the tx is "ISRM_N_190805.frk" from there main website as well • Posts: 21,401 Threads: 594 Likes Received: 9,030 in 6,684 posts Likes Given: 1,428 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 796 Well those firmwares should be compatible with each other and work together so I'm not really sure what else to tell you. Maybe you do actually have a faulty XSR. If you have access to another transmitter (preferably a native ACCST transmitter) then you can try binding the XSR to that to either confirm or rule out the XSR as having a problem, but other than that there isn't really any other way of diagnosing your issue any further. • Posts: 6 Threads: 1 Likes Received: 0 in 0 posts Likes Given: 1 Joined: Jan 2021 Reputation: 0 (04-Jan-2021, 01:52 AM)SnowLeopardFPV Wrote: Well those firmwares should be compatible with each other and work together so I'm not really sure what else to tell you. Yeah i figured i ordered a R-XSR hopefully everything wrks the way it should be. Any recommendations once i get it in the mail? do i Update RX and tX to the latest firmware? • Posts: 21,401 Threads: 594 Likes Received: 9,030 in 6,684 posts Likes Given: 1,428 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 796 The R-XSR receivers now ship with the FCC version of the ACCST 2.1.0 firmware pre-installed (unless you somehow manage to get a new-old-stock receiver) so it might be worth initially just trying to bind using ACCST D16 mode. As your X9 Lite is currently running the ISRM 1.1.3 firmware, just try binding with that ISRM firmware version first (in case the R-XSR is still on ACCST 1.x.x) and if that doesn't work then upgrade the ISRM module in your X9 Lite to the 2.1.0 version then try binding again using ACCST D16 mode. If you are still unable to bind using D16 ACCST mode then just flash the R-XSR with ACCESS 2.1.0 firmware and try to register it and then bind it with your X9 Lite using the ACCESS protocol instead.
