0 I’ve got the Nazgul5 4s analog version with a FR SKY R-Xsr receiver installed and I just bought the radiomaster TX16S. I’m having issues for the binding process between these two and a ytb video explained that it could be the firmware of the radio since it is OpenTx 2.3.9 and the newest version is 2.3.13. But I already tried binding my quad to my Betafpv Literadio 2 SE, and that didn’t work either. When I put the transmitter and my quad in bind mode, the r xsr receiver just stays constant red and green as it should, but it never changes to finish the binding. Should I update the firmware of my radiomaster, or should I buy a cable that goes from fr-sky receiver to the transmitter? What should I do to solve this binding problem? Thanks, Marc.

97 Hi Marc,
Did the Nazgul 5 come with the FrSky R-XSR receiver or did you install that yourself?? If it came pre-installed then check Betaflight to make sure it is on the correct AUX channel. If you installed it, be sure that the TX-RX pads on the FC match the AUX channel in Betaflight.
Personally, I would defer updating the transmitter since it is new and should not need to be changed to bind to the receiver. I am still running the original Jumper TX { an old fork of Open TX, yeah old at that} on my Jumper T16 and haven't had any issues binding receivers {except the R9MM receivers that others have updated with newer firmware}. All of my XM+ and original {NOT updated} R9MM receivers bind just fine.
Since the R-XSR is very similar to the XM+ you shouldn't have to update it and certainly not the radio transmitter.
If the wiring is correct and matches the Betaflight port, and the bind process is correct, then it should bind.
At first, I had trouble holding down the bind button while plugging in a battery...if this is not done correctly, the receiver will NOT enter bind mode and it will not bind. I have used an alligator clip to hold the bind button while I plugged in a battery...then I made a battery cable with a switch.

0 Ok thanks I will connecting my quad back to betaflight, bc the receiver was pre- installed, but I didn’t understand really well.
What AUX channel should I check?

0 Equipment: TX16s / Nazgul5, r xsr receiver pre-installed.——Ok so, I’ve just watched a video of a guy saying that when the receiver stays constantly red and green it says that the firmware versions of the receiver and the transmitter are not the same (EU-LBT or FCC). But how can I change that firmware? I’ve already tried updating my tx16s with the SD card but that didn’t work, and I don’t want to hassle thru all that again. What is the solution to changing from EU-LBT to FCC on my transmitter? Thanks, Marc.
