Walksnail V2 pro night footage
#1
I don’t see much use for flying in pitch black dark. Maybe fireworks? But I had to try. I must say I am pretty impressed. The video doesn’t do it justice, I could see almost everything in full dark. First video is GoPro all auto settings. Second video is through the goggles.

You certainly have a lot more light in your area. If I go out with no moon, it's legitimately dark outside. Tried the same camera to find that I might as well try to fly with my eyes shut. It's a great sensor, but none really live up to that implied claim of working on just starlight.

For flying in absolute darkness, try installing a few backlight LEDs. That's enough for the sensitive Walksnail Avatar HD Pro Starvis camera to see everything down on the ground. I, too, was impressed with the HD Pro's nighttime capabilities. I built a Foxwhoop25 with an HD Pro camera, and installed LED lighting. Unfortunately, the light from the LEDs hits the camera, and I see a monstrous flare on the sides. I need to protect the camera from light.
