12-Jun-2024, 09:21 AM (This post was last modified: 12-Jun-2024, 04:41 PM by Sir Brokalot.) So I just installed the I-Flight Blitz VTX, downloaded the tables from their site and tested it succesfully.
However, I found that whenever I arm or connect the quad to betaflight, the power setting changes to 400mw instead of 25mw.
I am using a dial to change the power via my radio. It is set to 25mw. Now after arming I need to wiggle that dial-switch to go to 400 and back to 25 to lower the vtx power.
Anyone an idea whats causing this?

103 If your radio doesnt send a value, it might be in the wrong range. Check it in modestab when the radio is powered off, turn on the radio, see if it goes than.
Check the adjustements tab if there is any switch linked.
Check in vtx tab if low power until disarm is axtivated.
Maybe a betaflight feature and your settings on the radio dows bite eachother or its just about no transmitter signal does give the value for 400mw in modeatab.
Imaybe i missunderstand the issue?

0 12-Jun-2024, 04:13 PM (This post was last modified: 12-Jun-2024, 04:48 PM by Sir Brokalot.) When theres no radio connected, the default value for the AUX7 i' m using is around 1500 (center stick) which could explain why the power is at 400mw when powering the quad without radio.
I'm using a pod dial for changing the power. Default the radio sends 2000 at the lowest and 1000 at the highest position of the dialswitch.
Now I've inverted the switch on the radio so the lowest setting is 1000 and highest 2000.
Before:
vtx 0 6 0 0 1 1750 2000
vtx 1 6 0 0 2 1500 1750
vtx 2 6 0 0 3 1250 1500
vtx 3 6 0 0 4 1000 1250
After:
vtx 0 6 0 0 1 1000 1250
vtx 1 6 0 0 2 1250 1500
vtx 2 6 0 0 3 1500 1750
vtx 3 6 0 0 4 1750 2000
Now the default VTX power when powering the quad without a radio connected is 800mW.
As soon as the radio connects, it changes the power to whatever the dial is set to.
It seems that the VTX prefers the AUX7 channel over any other setting including low power until armed.
But now it DOES go to 25mw on startup.. so problem is solved!

141 I think it might be failsafe - when you lose radio signal that channel controlling the VTX power goes to 1500 which is the default value when the RX goes into failsafe. You can change it to other values in the Failsafe tab.
