Tyro129 + FlySky X6B RX Voltage monitoring
#1
Hi all,

New member here, just assembling the Tyro 129 kit I recently purchased. I have also acquired the Flysky I6X TX and X6B RX.

I understand the RX has the ability to monitor battery voltage of the drone and relay this back to the TX. However I am unclear on how this is wired up to the Flight Controller on the Tyro129.

Outputs from the RX for the voltage monitor are (according to the PCB labels), Gnd, Bat, Gnd. Although this should already be grounded by the main RX connection to the FC.

As for the FC I think I have 2 spare UART ports as follows:

 - 10v, NC, NC, VTX, TX3
- Gnd, Buz, RGB, 5V

There are also spare solder points:
- TX5
- RX5
- PB0
- TX2
- RSSI

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks
Tom

The FC has a port for the receiver called RC. Next to that port, there is 3 jumper pad. You want to solder bridge middle pad with the pad labeled DSM/IBUS. Wire the IBUS from your radio to the RC. Then you need to setup betaflight correctly. If you don't know what to do for the settings, post a dump file. We can help you with that.

As for telemetry (aka FC battery voltage), your receiver do not support it. Flysky protocol typically does not support telemetry. You want to move to a Frsky, Crossfire, Ghost, or Tracer capable radio/receiver system for telemetry.

You will have telemetry in the OSD regardless.

FlySky does support telemetry.
X6B has telemetry - I get both Vbat and RSSI.

There is a port at the bottom for voltage sensor.
Look at X6B Manual. You connect it to battery pads.
