Yeah for a while before I found ways to stretch the flight time I was ready to content the fact that the work around is to fly shorter flights but do more back to back flying.

That is one of my mental issue. I want the battery to fit the frame natively without clunky attachments. That's why I was asking if your frame can handle the Lava 550 cell. None of my 65mm frame could do it except for the ones with the carbon bottom plate. Then I am adding more weight just to hold the battery in place "natively". That's what prompted me to go up to the 75mm frame.

I've managed to make my lightest 65mm build yet, coming in at 22.8g. Lighter than a mob6 hdzero eco which is a reported 23.2g. Take that low-fi digital! lol.
I'm starting to approach 3:00 min flight times which is great.
Things I did to help with the weight.
On the aio I shortened the battery pigtail, removed the rubber sleeve on the bt2 connector and used a paper shim (between terminals) with liquid electrical tape to insulate.
The canopy is the mcstinky 30deg (from thingyverse) which is lighter than the betafpv ultralight canopy.
Motors are the 0702se 25000kV, lower than what I would put on but wanted to try for better runtimes. One of the lightest 0702s around atm.
Removed motor plugs, direct solder to aio
Peek screws for the motors
Vtx has all heatsinks removed with the soic mounted topside for airflow
Vtx antenna is ORT, lighter than the stock dipole
Stack screws are lighter M1.2 10mm than the stock M1.4 10mm.

That is an amazing setup for a 65 -- That is Walksnail? I like the look of that VTX ORT antenna you have used. That is the ORT Micro Vee 5.8GHz U.FL Antenna? It seems to be out of stock everywhere, is it any good?
There is a 25mW setting for Walksnail 1s vtx. The power drain between the 25mW, 200mW settings is pretty negligable. It's the bloody motors that suck the juice, predominately.
It is the ORT micro vee, you are right. There was a bloke in one of the aussie fpv groups that had imported a ton of them.
There are gnb 380mah 90c batteries, doesnt fit 65mm frames. The 60c batteries are usless. We did 2s packs out of it to stay lightweight, but their perfoemance is so poor, even on half current as 2s, they did suffer in peeformance.

I have these GNB 90C 380 mah packs and they don't fit my 65mm frames. They are too wide. They do fit on my 75mm frame.
