I did range tests today. While the DJI FPV protocol at 700 mW and 50 Mbps still works very well at a distance over 900 m, the FASST protocol already has regular outages at this distance, even assuming sufficient height and open space. I also tested the flight behind an obstacle, not far from me about 40 m was a large straw stack. If I flew behind the stack, FASST immediately dropped out, while the DJI protocol still ran with only a slight blur. I expected a better result. I want to ask, is it completely common with all other 2.4 GHz protocols that they are totally inoperable behind a nearby obstacle?
Has anyone tested a little more ExpressLRS at 2.4 GHz behind a nearby obstacle? Or is it simply necessary to use the 900 MHz protocol (Crossfire, ExpressLRS)?
