08-Nov-2016, 01:54 PM What Looptime are you running? using multishot? is Gyro update frequency separated from Looptime? 08-Nov-2016, 02:34 PM 12-Nov-2016, 02:10 AM 12-Nov-2016, 02:23 AM Yes, if they still have Gyro synced to looptime, then doing 32K would definitely make a difference But they mentioned they are using something called "secret gyro", so maybe they have it unsynced and set to a fast, and fixed (unchangeable) rate? 12-Nov-2016, 02:33 AM i see. i was messing with the settings today when i was tuning and couldn't find anything other than looptime and pwm rate. 14-Nov-2016, 09:02 AM Hey guys came across this article so I thought I'd give my two sense. If you don't know who I am, I am one of the two owners of RaceFlight, as well as one of the main developers. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have on running RaceFlight. A couple of things I figured I'd answer. The new RevoltFC uses the 20602 gyro. This gyro is the best gyro we possibly could find, and worked directly with some Invensense engineers when we selected it. It has the lowest noise, best sensitivity, and highest update rate of any of the other gyros. When we started designing for it, we called it the super secret gyro for multiple reasons. One of those reasons was there was absolutely no information available on it, and we even had to sign an NDA to get the information on how to use it. So at the time it was a secret gyro. It was also fun to call it that, and it kept cloners from using it before we could even release our board. No one uses this gyro besides us at the moment. We do not use a loop at all. When you set the loop time, it really is the gyro update rate. So when you select UH32 on the new revolt, we are getting gyro updates at 32khz. We use a real time interrupt driven, dma system. That means the microsecond we get the gyro data, we process it and update the motors. This is one of the reasons we fly better. We have found with our latest builds, on the new RevoltFC, most of the quads are tuned to around 90% right out of the box. Most guys are flying without even touching our tune. With RF1 we think we can get this even closer. We are continually updating our software, and working on getting to our RF1 release very soon. We have already rolled it out to our internal test team, and suspect we will be making major advancements this week, and getting very close to a wide spread release. Let me know if you have any more questions, and would be glad to answer them 14-Nov-2016, 01:01 PM yeah short question can you enroll us on the "testing bunnies" team we already have few raceflight capable boards and if you would like to have few more crash test dummies we can help and provide more feedback/blackbox etc All the best Grzesiek (Grisha/ Greg) Curently flyable: Nox 5, Minimalist 112 Bench / in progres: fixing Nox 3, Scrap thinking about building: 450 14-Nov-2016, 01:51 PM Yes! welcome Proggod. finally someone that can really answer all the questions. so i can do less reading. 14-Nov-2016, 05:51 PM (14-Nov-2016, 01:01 PM)Grisha0 Wrote: yeah short question can you enroll us on the "testing bunnies" team Sure we allow people to join the test team, you basically need to join our #wanna_test channel on slack, and then agree to the fact that your quad may self destruct more or less, and then we put you in the test room 15-Nov-2016, 01:13 AM (14-Nov-2016, 09:02 AM)ProgGod Wrote: Hey guys came across this article so I thought I'd give my two sense. I am a little new to the Slack app. How do I go about joining the test group? Also, where can I get a RevoltFc? 15-Nov-2016, 02:59 AM (15-Nov-2016, 02:56 AM)haris92 Wrote: I'd like to be a tester. You can buy a revolt direct from us http://www.raceflight.net/shop/ or from one of our resellers at http://www.raceflight.net/retailers/ 19-Nov-2016, 02:40 PM Hello, when I set loop control to H16 or H32 (16khz , 32khz), the gyro shows no traces in sensors tab. It's not working.( I tryed disabling blackbox and acc - the same, no traces) I tried to fly it and I crashed immediately. I bought revolt, because I wanted to fly in 32khz mode. Can you plase tell me, am I doing something wrong, my revolt is faulty, or 16, 32 khz is not supported at the time ? I am using BB375 19-Nov-2016, 03:42 PM (19-Nov-2016, 02:40 PM)blazomusic Wrote: Hello, when I set loop control to H16 or H32 (16khz , 32khz), the gyro shows no traces in sensors tab.
