Noob Question (VTX signal)
#1
Hey guys! I just finished my 1st quad build yesterday. 6s build with Xilo Stax Combo and Xilo VTX.

Everything seems to be working fine except my video signal. I only get a picture when I'm really close to my drone (less than 5') and my goggles are pointed directly at the drone. If I move my head, the signal is lost. I'm using the Xilo Stax VTX with a straight MMCX 5.8GHz (rhcp) antenna. its mounted out the back of the drone. My goggles are the Fatshark Scout with the ImmersionRC Spironet 5.8GHz RCHP antenna.

Any idea why i could be having this issue? I tried searching for similar threads to no avail, but I'm also not sure exactly what to search, so I'm sorry if this is redundant.

I haven't read through the manual but the problem sounds like you are in pit mode.

Thank you! I assumed I wasn't in pit mode because I had deactivated it via Betaflight. After looking at the onboard LED, I was able to verify that i was indeed still in Pit Mode.

If you don't have Smartaudio working, then you can't deactivate pit mode through BF. That is why it is best to manually do it. Then you can figure out the Smartaudio.
