I bet the FaceBook crowd (their only source of customer feedback apparently) loves those LEDs. _______________________________________ Analog’s really not that bad … with the right gear. • Posts: 1,435 Threads: 123 Likes Received: 1,440 in 748 posts Likes Given: 1,146 Joined: Jun 2019 Reputation: 42 Maybe someone over at caddx is a knight rider fan, lol... Why can't make 4 omni antennas and 2 patches together? • Posts: 76 Threads: 6 Likes Received: 38 in 32 posts Likes Given: 49 Joined: Sep 2023 Reputation: 1 (27-Oct-2023, 01:38 PM)Cake Wrote: Also, to disconnect the LEDs, you have to disassemble the case as I understand it? They say that in the settings you can change the color and turn off the backlight altogether. At least the Russian review said this. I also heard that there are already three firmware versions for these glasses. • Posts: 65 Threads: 3 Likes Received: 4 in 4 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Jan 2023 Reputation: 0 (27-Oct-2023, 03:57 PM)lyoha Wrote: They say that in the settings you can change the color and turn off the backlight altogether. I mean, to install patch antennas instead of LEDs, you'd have to further disassemble the case instead of just removing them. • Posts: 76 Threads: 6 Likes Received: 38 in 32 posts Likes Given: 49 Joined: Sep 2023 Reputation: 1 (27-Oct-2023, 04:33 PM)Cake Wrote: I mean, to install patch antennas instead of LEDs, you'd have to further disassemble the case instead of just removing them. I don`t knov. In any case, I'll wait for the results of the beta testing. So far I'm happy with the Skyzone04+Avatar VRX combination. A little hard, but I have a strong neck. • Posts: 794 Threads: 31 Likes Received: 415 in 313 posts Likes Given: 329 Joined: Jul 2022 Reputation: 19 My issue with the VRX is that it causes so much sag. Been thinking I might 3D print a little stand that can hold a battery and run a longer HDMI cable. • Posts: 1,845 Threads: 203 Likes Received: 346 in 264 posts Likes Given: 306 Joined: May 2020 Reputation: 11 FWIW, Fat Shark Dom HD are marked down to 380.00. • Posts: 1 Threads: 0 Likes Received: 0 in 0 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Nov 2023 Reputation: 0 (12-Oct-2023, 05:55 PM)SnowLeopardFPV Wrote: The following image has been doing the rounds on social media today stating that it's the new Walksnail Avatar HD Goggles (V2). I have no idea if this is fake, an AI generated image, or a leaked photo of the real deal, so take it with a pinch of salt. The person who posted the image stated that he got blocked from the official Walksnail Facebook group after doing so, so maybe they are real. Who knows. Why initially it was impossible to make a square case to put the assembled device - is not clear, in the second version of the goggles made a good case. The original case fits the Jumper. • Posts: 185 Threads: 7 Likes Received: 40 in 32 posts Likes Given: 59 Joined: Mar 2023 Reputation: 3 (26-Oct-2023, 12:31 PM)jasc Wrote: I'm quite confident there will be a lot of beta testers :-) Quite a few PAID beta testers, at that. I'll let the knowitalls test this junk, they took the last penny I was giving them, and I have no more for Caddx at all, ever, now or in the future. I so wanted to like their offerings, but man they are not doing anything sane or logical over there, and burning more bridges than they seem to be building. Maybe one day they'll be a real company. I hope HDZ can grow up as well. Now if DJI could fix the initial linkup, but I can wait 5 seconds until I get video I guess. If it ensures a good image and flight. Can't say that about the rainbows and static from the guys in red and red lights. • Posts: 28 Threads: 7 Likes Received: 5 in 4 posts Likes Given: 6 Joined: Mar 2023 Reputation: 0 My headset has shipped and is tracking. Ordered Oct 25 from Caddx online store. Hope there is no production issues like loose optics etc. Posts: 365 Threads: 59 Likes Received: 41 in 36 posts Likes Given: 352 Joined: Nov 2021 Reputation: 1 would like to know the latest and greatest on the new WS goggles X! • Posts: 624 Threads: 23 Likes Received: 320 in 232 posts Likes Given: 330 Joined: Jan 2023 Reputation: 7 03-Dec-2023, 02:50 AM (This post was last modified: 03-Dec-2023, 04:18 PM by QuadFlyer68.) A few observations; The googles are fairly light weight but a tad bit to small for my face. They didn't ship with a power cable, not a huge deal but would have been nice. Performs on par with the Walksnail VRX module. Caddx seems to be a bit behind with firmware. My HDMI/in port does not seem to be working. I tried to play Liftoff but Windows does not recognize that the googles are plugged in, it works just fine with my Hdzero goggles. Hopefully can be fixed via firmware update. At this point Avatar will not replace my DJI stuff but at least they are in the game. • |
